I wouldn't call either "fixed", though.
We all know why they won't do that - because piles and piles of quite serious issues would be labelled as "no plan to fix".

Just think about what you said and what someone reading it may think.
"They have to do better". How may they read that, do you think? I can take a wild guess that'll come across as insulting to someone.

If one of my customers told me I need a kick up the rear and have to do better, that's insulting. They don't know my job, what I do, the struggles I face. The same applies with DTG and TSW.

Some people seem to forget they are actually referring to people when addressing an "organisation". It is the same as calling people lazy, which is oft used on these forums, which DTG staff find insulting.

Some seem to think being "robust" or "saying it like it is", is worthy of some kind of badge of honour. Maybe it earns some kudos.

In most cases it probably has the opposite effect of what they are trying to achieve.

Well done you win. Can't be bothered to have a point of view anymore.

OK, let's all accept mediocre software as the norm then and not offend anyone's feelings.

    No one has said that!

Although, if I thought TSW was mediocre, I wouldn't spend another penny on it and certainly wouldn't be spending some of my spare time on a forum talking about it.

That's not insulting at all, it may not be tactful but it's hardly "I took your mother behind the bike shed and made her knees weak" is it!

If a customer said that about your work then they probably had something trigger it, ok maybe it was a miscommunication or user error on their part, but they may have also validly found an issue that you did not see, to label that as insulting is quite frankly naive and rather adolescent.

Wouldn't it be far better to put your hurt butt behind you and sit on it and have a conversation with the disgruntled customer and see if you can remedy their or your error, that's how you keep their loyalty and future sales and the added bonus of free word of mouth advertising.

The game of life becomes easier when you install the adulting mod. ;)

This is forum for a Pegi 3 game played by kids to pensioners, men and women. We have no idea who is reading our posts. Not everybody has the same view of what is banter vs just plain crude. Part of being an adult is moderating our ourselves in public and in front of strangers.

So you tell me I'm an offensive person, I ask you for help to become a better person, you tell me to give it a rest.

*sigh* this is exactly why DTG don't use the forums as much. Another pointless shouting match

I'm not shouting, I'm genuinely trying to give DTG some ideas on how to provide better transparency with bug fixes.

Jack seems to think I'm offending people by saying they need a stern talking to and maybe reflecting on how they are conducting their hype train etc.

Having looked through the posting history of the user, it's quite clear that the user is trying to get rises out of multiple other users to inflame threads.

Didn’t seem like it to be fair. Now stop the bickering and actually do something useful in your life instead of being so passive aggressive for no reason.

Given how awful the forums are I dont blame CMs and staff not spending a lot of time replying to every thread. Most communications still go out here but most people seem to be missing it? They are also a lot more active on Discord because it's far less toxic, I don't blame them.

DTG communication isn't the problem. They talk all the time. What they don't do is fix the massive bugs and quality issues that plague TSW. Actions speak louder than words as the saying goes and I would be happy if the DTG "crew" would shut up with the propaganda and PR nonsense and instead begin to seriously fix the problems that are making this game unplayable.

    Your point?

You've just reaffirmed what LazLong said. Also how do you know people aren't lying about their DOB? Plenty of friends from school were born in the 1990s so they could access Facebook before they were 13...

Discord is also very easy to bury bad news without having it on your company official forums. ;)

See this is the exact problem. You're assuming that I'm upset, I'm not upset, I'm from the generation that can take feedback, give feedback and not get offended by it.

I wasn't the one taking the thread off topic, the users complaining a simple phrase was offensive did.

Anyway as Southern driver said, DTG decide what we get to know, when we need to know.

    Topic closed.

I cant say I have noticed the game is broken, broken to me means I cant play it, I have been playing it since launch, or should I say prelaunch as I had early access, biggest issue form me was the download size, partially not helped by myself as I also decided to upgrade my pc by installing 2 large SSDs to replace a HDD and a smaller SSD.

That is why I did not call them fixed, but in considerably better shape.

MTB actually does not have significant bugs anymore from what I have seen (it is missing part of hectometer boards and the night lighting is clearly different in each half of the route, but that's not game breaking really).

LFR still has some open crossings and missing vorsignal in Uhlerborn which can make you SPAD, which is angering. But I would like to remind people that when this route was released, half of Rhine was missing its water and the signals in Mainz made you run 160 into 40 switches, and that has been long since fixed.

So the original comment about them not fixing any routes after release was not too fair.

I wish this level of passion could be diverted to the many real world problems that face us humans imminently.
I've had a quick scan of the news and it's bad news for anyone who isn't loaded, there's war in the middle east and global politics is taking us back to the 1930s. I then read a draft paper written by a Professor I know that contains very negative news about the speed-up of global warming.

Then I come on here and people are getting animated over a computer game and whether the only company in this country that sells a train simulator is any good at PR. It's not important in the grand scheme of things, can people please be respectful of others but also can those who are most angry in a software forum please try to gain a sense of perspective. A disappointing DLC is far better than not being able to pay your basic bills, having your house flooded, illness/disability (holding my hand up on that one) or living in a war zone.

Everyone and every software firm can do better, none of them or us are perfect. Show some respect for others please.

Oh and if we're talking about poor communication.
I'm waiting to see if my cleaner is actually coming today, she half an hour late.
I've also got building work going on and they're an hour and a half late.
My GP hasn't responded to an urgent email from 3 weeks ago and I'm still awaiting the results of a CT scan that is likely to be bad news and that's been a month.

But yeah, getting some fixes on a new route I can happily not use until it's patched or modded isn't top of my list. Was it ready for release? No. Is that the biggest problem in the world? No. Will it get fixed? Yes, in due course.

Much frustration can be avoided if you just open your eyes.

Once you are buying DTG DLC, you are agreeing to being a beta tester de facto. Cycle of frustration, reporting bugs, asking for fixes.

    Just wait before you buy.

I see you are insulting people because of differing opinions.

And even if - also DTG fanatics should have their place in here. (Imho Jack is more rational than fanatic.)

This thread isn't providing any more value than for people to send barbs at each other, so I've locked.

For visibility, we expect the patch to release this afternoon, which is positive news. There'll be comprehensive patch notes shared with it in Announcements.
