On PS5 with TSW5 free starter pack, I downloaded a 250mb update that seemed to delete Birmingham Cross City (BCC) route from my installation! It was definitely there before but suddenly vanished after the update. I down loaded BCC again and ran TSW5 choosing a BCC service. It now gives an option to play as conductor which was never available before. I just selected the driver option and the route seems to run ok though it is hard to tell if there is any improvement to performance but it seemed quite smooth and mostly lacking those annoying judders/stutters/frame rate drops. The update promised minor performance improvements but I did NOT see any evidence of that in the Blackpool to Preston route that still sadly has the annoying stutters and frame rate drops in certain places. In the state TSW5 is in, I will not be buying any new DLC like ECML South and North and I am dreading the release of the remastered (increased detail) GWE as I am just about certain that it will ruin the route as far as performance. GWE currently is one of the smoothest rendered routes and any degradation is completely unwanted. Previous history has shown that DTG promises for improvements in route performance can take years if they are ever delivered. The Brighton Victoria route is an example of how long these updates can really take. Whilst I hope some progress is made quickly, I fear that too many people are willing to put up with poor performance for enough resources to ever be assigned to actually solve the issue.
How is your performance on the ps5. I only ask because we all have the same machines but all play different for some reason. I can't currently play Tsw5 at the moment it's so glitchy and stuttering and that's on all my routes I never had this problem in Tsw4. It's never been great but Tsw5 feels horrible.
Not had chance to play yet but did the update fix the interactive screens on PS5? Can you now actually use an in cab screen? Cheers
Thank you, we'll raise any issues that arose since yesterday's patch and any issues that should be fixed but aren't with the dev team as soon as we collated what we can, most likely this afternoon.
It was reported fixed, but is was not fixed. It works when it's a screen with buttons on the sides, but if it's a touchscreen with buttons you have to touch on the screen itself, it does not work
You need to manually click the wiper button, right of the main console, below the brake pressure gauges, as the key mapping is wrong
A "masterpiece" without raildriver support?! This should at least be a minimum requirement to all DLCs!
I agree on this, but the recreation as a digital studylevel loco is spot on. Next level is the real thing or a multi million multi axle simulator .
After all locos with this type of brake valve (modeled well in TSW!), how on earth could you decide to just create it totally wrong on the 114? The D2 has 1 neutral position where the brake key can be locked. And yes this is still mechanical, now it behaves like the FBV of a 101, which is a totally different type. To me this looks very amateurish, either corner cuts on all possible edges, or just the lack of research. Whoever created the loco didnt even bother to look at the existing 143.
Since the oct 15 update, the total number of services completed/avl in game is not shown anymore. I hoped today's update would bring it back but alas...
Hi Jan, Any update on this - I'm a PC player and am experiencing issues with the brakes on the 114 still. (The PULL scenario worked correctly after switching off the brake key in the dosto cab, driving the dosto (next service in Journey Mode) worked correctly. The service after that when you drive the 114 and there's both a dosto and a loco on the back of the train - the brakes don't seem to work at all.
What about the camera guys? im pushing the stick on our ps5 pad many many times to go to the external camera, and many many times to go inside, is it happen to you also??
We have June 2025, and this loco in this scenario still isn't fixed. Cab Wagon key to "0", in the 2nd loco brakes are set to "full". which is correct... still no pneumatic break pressure until Emergency Brake. WTF? Same with Vorarlberg Scenario "International Rescue Mission"... 2 years ago DTG cheered "yeah, its fixed"... NOOOOOO, its NOT. Still that AI train blocking the station, STILL!!!!! Edit: I play this sometimes enjoyable game since TSW3. This laziness or maybe incompetence on fixing bugs drove me to the solution to only buy Addons or DLCs at the cheapest discount. You do minimal effort? So do I.
