I've been playing Frankfurt Fulda and I recently noticed a narrow gauge railway whilst passing through
    Wächtersbach Station.

After a bit of googling it appears to be this https://www.dampfkleinbahn-bad-orb.de/

Has anybody else noticed this? Maybe even ridden the line?

I'm planning on doing a trip (Frankfurt is not far away from my place) to Niddertalbahn. Might check this one out too.

It's not the first one, there is one in Radebeul on DRA too. :)
One more is near Freital on DCZ, although I don't remember if that's visible in the game or not.

Nice. I visited for the first time this year and loved it. So many nice markets with great food, wine and beer; and the people were so friendly too. Plus, the station is pretty mega, as you've no doubt already seen from the route. Sadly, when I was there, I missed the steam harbour train running by one day as I didn't know about it beforehand. Here's the link in case you're interested: https://www.historische-eisenbahn-frankfurt.de/hafenbahn2/

Thanks! Cool isn't it! I know it's unlikely to ever happen but having seen the videos of it running online, I think it would be so much fun trundling around that line with those tiny little carriages.

Fingers crossed for more in future!

It is fully modelled with narrow gauge carriages placed all around the yard.

If DTG hadn’t pulled future steam traction, the Welsh Highland and/or Ffestiniog Railway would have been quite well received.

Probably mentioned this one before but former Yugoslavia had a massive network of narrow gauge lines, in the German style. This site will provide hours of reading fun:

I'd love to see more narrow gauge routes. There's a special charm about them. I quite like Arosabahn and Berninalinie as well.

Actually, with the initial release of DRA it was planned to do the Dresdener Parkeisenbahn as well. The tracks are there. And iirc Matt or Lukas confirmed there was even a loco in work. Sadly, due to the amount of work they had to cut this idea and as we all know the airport branch as well.

Maybe the Dresden Parkeisenbahn could at some point be a little 3rd party DLC kinda like the runaway elf route? Just a specuation, but would be a nice surprise.

Cool. Is it ai only? Don't know if I got this route. Will check later. Maybe buying it if not.
I was surprised how long the bit of track was on Frankfurt-Fulda. Went down it in a class 08!

Fun fact: One of Germany's biggest Youtubers is called Gronkh.

It's just stationary, at least I've never seen it in motion.

    You learn something everyday.

It was only a quick tour of the narrow gauge line off the beat and path.

Will attempt kassel to wurzburg another time.

Going back to the Yugoslavian stuff I would love to see that Gostivar to Ohrid 2ft line. I did actually have most of it traced on Google Earth but unfortunately lost the kml file in my laptop crash earlier in the year.

I think I might get this route just for this Mastery reward!

I agree, the WHR/FR would be absolutely fantastic! A scenario where you get to ride the gravity train would be fun.

The Yugoslavian railway looks incredible too!
