Hi all, Just wanted to make a thread to keep you all up to date with the MCP pack final update - a very kind soul has been helping me iron out the creases (still on with this). However, good progress is being made: Finally 43272 working on a beta tester's installation.... sorry for the delay with this folks, but god willing, it'll be along soon.
Please tell me the HST's now have their exhaust back, looking forward to actually being able to drive HST's again because I've pretty much been avoiding then since having this MCP.
Greta can do one, she didn't spend hard earned on TSC, DLC's, AP EP's and the GST MCP. Now excuse me while I take my 4.4ltr V8 Range Rover which I just had a dpf delete performed on to go and buy some coal for my coal fired garden heater
The AP MTU HST's are a different kind of pack to the AP VP185's - these did not have clag factor. The rest I'm working through. Thanks for your support.
I'm not talking about clag factors, We have no exhaust at all on any HST's since installing the MCP. In fact the exhaust and the drivers are often situated in the centre of the map, this has been documented a few times.
I've had this update in the works since March, when it was first sent over to my publisher. I think there's 5 outstanding items left to sort - the beta tester I've been working with today has identified a couple of issues, which I'm working through. You all should have had it months ago. I can only apologise. It's a sad situation really. The child object issue you describe is fixed in this update. Thanks again.
The big thing that's been holding me back was getting 43272/274 working on a beta tester's set-up. Today we cracked that, hence the post to keep you all in the loop. I felt these units were really important as they have their own cabs, and to not include them would be a crying shame. Much like the Pullman unit's have their own unique cabs. Rest assured I am at it though. And while it may seem frustrating that I work on other things - this is important, as it's kind of like a busmans holiday in that it keeps me from burning out over one particular project. I aim to have the last bits fixed and over to ATS within the next week (two at the max but the target is a week). I'm having beta testing done on my side before it even goes to the publisher this time around, which should save everyone a lot of heartache in the long run. I will be doing this for years to come, particularly looking forward to working on the modern compact 08-16 tamper, the windhoff fire & rescue train and the 153 and 155 models in the medium term future. There's also the DTS62n and other things to look forward to in time.
Plasser & Theurer DTS 62n Dynamic Track Stabiliser I think it's a great looking little thing, like cheese on wheels
Have gone through all of the MTU bin files now, re-instating the correct child object reference to the exhausts used. It's quite faint in this pic (drifting over to the right of the cab and down towards the platform), but see included screenshot: Thanks for highlighting that.
- 43272/43274 installation sorted - MTU exhausts fixed - Headlight switch sensitivity fixed - Every single bin file checked over (twice) to ensure there are no stray child objects anywhere Working through the last 5 reported small bugs next. Almost there.
Looks like I'm on course to complete the update within my hoped for time-frame, still will need beta testing prior to distribution though so keep that in mind. Just four bugs left to sort, so here's a picture:
My beta tester has reported that "all seems good, 43274 also works in-game, no other issues up to yet", this morning. As it's the weekend here's another wild render:
- Support for rolling starts implemented in scripting* - 43272/43274 checked over in ATS VTEC pack, and the EMR plum livery - GWR star power units are included (with DAS) *cab detects whether it's travelling at speed (above 10mph) in first 2 seconds of scenario. If returns true, the cab is automatically initialised
Hey mate. Any chance of adding support to the 11 years EMR pack? And will the cabs be compatible with AP's upcoming HST packs?
Changelog MCP v4.0 ================== - new .bat installation script (43272/43274 installations) - check for rogue child elements (child elements with a visibility of 0 have been removed from all bin files) - re-instate exhaust on MTU's - speedo calibrated @ 125mph - 43272/43274 installations all checked over - blue button added to right hand side of button fascia (SR cabs) - Rolling starts now supported (cab auto-initialise on rolling starts) - Extra support for sets added (43272/43274 liveries) - Headlight switch sensitivity toned down Fingers crossed for a speedy delivery - everyone has waited long enough for this. I can only apologise for the delay, as I've said earlier in this thread.
All being well Pookey. And if we encounter any blockers, for whatever reason, yet again, we'll have to organise something else.
Looks amazing. I wonder.... could you do this for the AP MTU? I think this looks better than the AP cab. Is that a render from Blender or something, or actually an in game shot?
3DS Max, that's a very rebuilt GST cab with added laser scanned dash and drivers seat. Currently in the process of exporting to TS.
Nope.... perfect. If it was meant to be new... like it was an original Valenta unit in 1976 or something, then yes, that would be too dirty, but lets be honest, that's pretty much like every HST cab I've ever seen
I have no idea if this is even possible, but maybe there could be different states of cab dirtiness and each HST variant could have a different one? A new-build one could have a perfect cab and one that's about to be withdrawn could have a messy one. Perhaps it could be changed with numbering in the scenario editor too.
