That's a different Adam, you're referring to Adam Lucas (LucaZone). Both are not Community Managers though. DTG Adam is the sound guy.

 

There should be an option to delete an account by ourselves, I mean it’s the case on many (and big) forums.

 

Dude, there is no need to throw your dummy out the pram because you got called out by Matt regarding your “sarcastic” response to a genuine question. Simply reflect upon your conduct and why it may have been viewed as such and move on.

 

Doesn't DTG have a specific support page or something? Don't get why you need to make a whole post requesting account deletion lmao

 

If you message one of the Community Managers, DTG Alex, DTG Harry or DTG JD, they can delete your account. Alex and Harry both helped delete two older profiles and helped set me up with my current one as you’re unable to change your login email address without setting up a whole new DTG account.

sunscreen#8305 I appreciated your constructism much in the past. And despite maybe acting not correctly in certain situations in here (I can rely to that as well), it's not necessary to leave the forum. You can log off for a few months and then come back at a later point.

I think deleting one's account also means deleting all your input. Not sure if posts keep permanent here after the user got deleted.

If a user deletes their account, their posts will remain (unless they delete them before they delete their account) and they will show as 'Guest', although obviously you cannot select their profile.

My advice for what little it matters, would be to take a break.
Leave the door open at least, what does deleting achieve in the long run. I understand you may be sick/angry/purple ragey face at it now but see how it is tomorrow. Regret in hindsight is never good.
I believe I can honestly say we all hate this place sometimes, that's what it being an emotional subject drives.
I don't agree with everyone, but I respect their right to say it. I may mock or argue a different point of view till I'm blue in the face. I may get angry but I'll respect you more for it!

Hey, I was just letting him we're here at the support group are here to:
-Support him, help him, put an arm round his shoulder and tell him everyone's allowed to cry, it's nothing 2 litres of cheap cider won't solve.
- Repeatedly kick him in the chuddlies, belittle him, then show him the cider, before taking it away at the last minute.
- Generally show him friendship, forgive his discretions, accept that differences are good and then we drink the Cider!

A pint of cider, now you’re talking. He’d definitely feel a lot better if we all parked up around a table and drank away our problems, having a chat about things does wonders. I wish that was the case, but unfortunately this is the internet.
He probably just needs a few days to cool off. Be good if he stayed though.
