I wonder now that DTG have said that content affected by z fighting prior to TSW5 will not be fixed, then perhaps they should consider discount vouchers for Xbox users in acknowledgement that our experience of the game and DLC, which we have spent a lot of money on, is below par when considering that other players on different platforms paid the same price for superior products!!!! Moreover, perhaps they would like to offer a key for us to transfer to a different platform altogether, where we can enjoy the game without this issue!

    It's already a cross-platform purchase my friend. :)
You can play it through Xbox PC if you have a computer.

considering they’re usual policy comes across as ignore, and now it’s been made they’re official policy… by choosing to forget every dlc prior to September 17th 2024… I very much doubt they will do anything what acknowledges this.

Their only communication of this abandonment of an entire platforms, near entire dlc basic quality has been a few seconds, deep within a single stream.

don’t forget if you have purchased the content you are able to leave store reviews, that’s the best place I find to get things known, heard and seen.

I doubt they will to be honest. They've got our money now, so where's the incentive. Plenty of people will continue to purchase the next dlc regardless (that's their choice of course)

Remember when the unreal engine upgrade happened, they initially said no existing dlc would be compatible. After a backlash from the community (and rightly so) they suddenly did a U-turn. Just what they should be doing in this case!

    Completely should

after all these years the ultimate response being “we ain’t doing nothing about it” is totally unacceptable, and I cant understand how they thought that would be taken as…

Microsoft needs to take more responsibility for handling these kinda things.

I was thinking a similar thing. Surly Microsoft have some control of what's on their store pages. It would seem not.

But I one hundred percent agree, it's not good enough to be left as is. Just shows the regard they have for the xbox player base.

completely, and it’s coming across as utter contempt.

so much content coming out and came out I want to get involved with but can’t, it’s not good at all. Fixes coming for lots of things (looking like everything but this) and updates to older routes and all of it won’t make a difference for as long as this isn’t sorted.

Absolutely, I tried WCML on a free trial of gamepass that I'd acquired.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Still, I didn't have an enjoyable run on TVL with the 101, one of the few pieces of content that (thankfully) seems to be unaffected. Those older routes run smooth as you like too.

Do you know if any of Rivets models suffer from z-fighting? (Genuinely curious, as modelling is probably their strength)

the 484 I think does, but apart from that rivet is the one developer not running into this problem much, 3rd party is another big issue with this issue as even if we managed to get DTG to understand the utter disaster this issue is, there’s no guarantee the communication will get across, that would be bad if it didn’t, but it really requires DTG to sort this first before worrying on that.

The only piece of Rivet content I have, is the 204. That seems to be unaffected.

Oddly enough, let's take for example the Electrostars. When you first spawn in, all appears fine. It's only once the train begins to move that the flickering disco begins.

But don't forget, the title is optimized for series consoles ;)

Yea it starts when the train moves, but I don’t think it stops at any further stops.

if it’s just a matter of adjusting the Z-Axis of a collection of decals on about 30 trains they shouldn’t be leaving it. Surely that would not be that much work to do.

At least start with the worst affected first and work backwards from there, at least.

even if it just took some time to get through them it’s miles better than nothing.

though i definitely think DTG should reach out to the UE owners, they could be of big help with this one, this isn’t the only UE game with this issue.

I agree. It would certainly be better than doing nothing. Something needs to be done and we, as Xbox players, need and deserve assurances for DTG that our collections will be fixed of this issue, especially as the impacted DLCs continue to be sold!!

Yeah, the problem will only get worse with each dlc that releases. This is one problem that won't go away by being ignored .

It's not like we're being unreasonable, and we're not asking for the impossible.
