I've been spending a lot of time recently playing with the various iterations of the Vectron. I play on PC, but tend to use an Xbox controller. Why is that important you might ask? Well - I'm yet to find a controller button mapping for confirming set speed on the Vectron. This means I have to rotate the camera away from the rails ahead where I should be focussing, position the cursor in the right place, which can be fiddly, and then confirm the speed, before moving the camera back to where I should be looking. On German routes - this can cause PZB issues amongst other things. So I have two questions - One is there a Controller button mapping that I have missed? And Two - if not, how quickly could something be done - as this is a real inconvenience (and is probably equally frustrating for console players also)
There is no button to confirm AFB on console. But the key bind is CTRL+F on the DB & Flixtrain Vectron, CTRL+R on the Railpool Vectron
I play on the Xbox version and the controller shortcut for this is press X and up on the dpad at the same time.
Why the flix did they use different key binds to confirm set speed for the two Vectrons? Makes no sense.
When the railpool one was made, there wasn't a core "confirm AFB speed" keybind, so the loco has a custom one. TSW5 added "confirm AFB speed" as a core keybind (which also works on controller), so the new Vectrons use that, but the Railpool one wasn't updated (yet, hopefully).
I just double-checked on PC and it's actually ctrl+F on all three Vectrons there too. So the answer to "why are there two different keybinds" actually is that there is in fact just one keybind.
