PC Wcmls Enhancement Pack | Update 10 Now Available

Am I being thick or something, I've checked all my DLC (which I own everything UK) and the Store DLC list but I can't find the Goblin Line..

I have it on TSC but no mention of it in TSW?

 

I hear great things, but stop-a-minute commuter routes just aren't my cuppa

 

Are there any known or reported conflicts with other mods?

Thank you for that, not exactly easy to find if you didn't know that "the route became affectionately known as the ‘GOBLIN’, a portmanteau of Gospel Oak - Barking Line. But from February 2024, with TfL’s renaming of all London Overground routes, it is now officially known as the Suffragette line"

Maybe use the actual Steam DLC name when saying it's such an important requirement?

 

Hi sorry I am completely new to pc gaming, I usually play on Xbox. I've downloaded all the requirements what do i do with these .pak files

 

Put them in the following folder:
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 5\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC

 

They go in the folder Windows/Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/common/Train Sim World 5/WindowsNoEditor/TS2Prototype/content/DLC

 

I don't have the steam version will that be an issue? I have the Microsoft store version

would the folder be: C:\XboxGames\Train Sim World- 5\Content\TS2Prototype\Content\Paks

 

Content\DLC, not Content\Paks

 

Testing the fix now, keep an eye on the mod page. Should be up in 30 mins or so.

Just posted bugfix update that should resolve the platform 13 derailments.

 

So of course I managed to stumble across something on the first run I pick. For service 2C04, upon arriving at Headstone Lane I noticed that the PIS was showing the previous service as having been delayed. When I proceeded towards Harrow and Wealdstone I found myself permanently stuck behind another train. I haven't yet removed any other mods but I can't think of anything that should cause conflict so I assume its a bug in the timetable.

Note: I haven't yet used the bugfix just posted so it may not be an issue now.

 

Route is finally worth driving. Done a run from mk to euston, did a commute from euston to Watford jct, then run up to mk then back down to euston. No issues, good scenery. Lots of fun.

Sadly, since I'm a man, I'll just have to say I'll buy you a pint if somehow, somewhere, we ever meet. Just done the southbound yellow banana run and the difference is extraordinary. Salivating at what it'll be like on a slower service where I've time at each station to "appreciate" it.

 

LOL - It was! But it had been a long day and I had to be up early today. The HST Measurement Train looked fantastic, but I had to give in when he started playing conductor mode.

Genuinely more excited for this than most full DLC releases.

 

Who says you have to stop anywhere but the terminus (and even then...)

 

Can I ask how you fixed it just out of curiosity?

No need to swear. Try re-installing it or running a file verify then, because that crash is reserved exclusively for people that don’t have it.

Also double check you’ve downloaded the latest version(s) of the EP and the TT. Both were updated last night.

 

Your reply to my initial query was derogatory, hence the sweary reply, cause and causality.

I will try re-installing the Goblin DLC, to see if that cures the crashes, thanks for the suggestion.

 

Yes I have downloaded and installed the latest versions, I assume I was right to remove !!!JetWash-TSW5-WCMLS-Class390Pendolino, !!!JetWash-TSW5-WCMLS-72Stock, !!!JetWash-TSW4-Class710Headlights .pak's from my DLC folder as your last update said they were now integrated into the WCMLS EP?

 

Re-installing the DLC hasn't helped unfortunately, one thing I'm doing to guarantee a crash at my end is going into WCMLS in Freeroam and trying to spawn in on foot at Wembley Depot, I don't know if anyone can reproduce?

 

Freeroam from the menu doesn’t work (because of add-on manager) which is in the known issues drop-down on the DL page. To use freeroam you need to spawn on foot in the route then spawn a train using the tab key.



I’m not going to say anything further than if there were problems with the packs themselves everyone would be having the same issues. The overwhelming majority of people are issue free and that points to local issues with those having the problems. Those problems are almost all because either the instructions haven’t been read or followed, there is a conflict with another mod or someone is missing a requirement.

tl:dr on the rest of the thread but my thoughts exactly. Not only well done to all those involved with the mod but DTG should be utterly ashamed of themselves for not making this the standard to which they aspire to with content in 2024.

 

TBF DTG didn’t make the route, and like it or not they have to take into account consoles. We don’t, nor do we have to make it a passable experience on the lowest spec PCs. We keep an eye on it sure, but we have a bit more free rein in that regard than DTG do.

 

Oh yes, we know quite nicely who built the route..! But good point about consoles, though no excuse for shoddy modelling and lighting.

 

Does Goblin actually show up for you in-game?

Loving the enhancement pack! However there is a few fairly major issues:
Biggest Issue - I'm experiencing lots of lag in the Euston area (roughly between Queen's Park and Euston). The game constantly freezes every 5-10 seconds. I've gone through all my mods and settings and all are correct and working.
Second issue - The Class 805 services routes don't complete if finishing the route at Euston. Once it displays the lock doors symbol, once doors are locked, objective points are given, but there's no sign of it going of the route actually being complete. I attempted to open and close doors several times but it didn't work.
Not sure if these issues have been raised but I thought it'd be best to post my issues. Apart from that, I'm enjoying the enhancement pack!

Class 805 9G08. You need to open the doors twice at Euston.

After installing the mod pack and timetable i have this thing where i go over a set of points outside London Euston and the game just crashes


LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 3194] Could not find SuperStruct BP_GOB_AK104_Cl710_C to create BP_GOB_AK104_Cl710_Child_C
That is all it says in the crash report other than "TrainSimWorld" over and over would anyone happen to know why?

Do you have the Goblin Line DLC?

 

Class 805 doesn't have the raindrops.
Also I don't see any mention of Class 66 being removed from the timetable. At least I don't have it in my list of available trains.

Future Plans
The current plan for the next version is to include the following:
• The remainder of the London Underground trains (PRIORITY).
• Class 805 undertaking the current Voyager services (PRIORITY).
• FREIGHT, lots and lots of freight, including Aggregates and RHTT.
•Rail Tours of various types when all the core services are in.
•Class 87 undertaking the Caledonian Sleeper Services upon release of Overshap.

 

Freight isn't on the timetable right now. That's going to be added in a future update along with additional underground services.

 

I was thinking that means MORE freight.

About optimization(I think many owners of not high-end PCs are worried about this).
My rig is: i5-10400, 16 RAM, 4060 Ti and SSD. Euston became a very intensive area(surprise) at peak hours especially. But otherwise I don't see any other performance degradation. In some places, it seems to me, it has even become more smooth.
It still runs much better then Frankfurt - Fulda. So if your PC can handle Kinzigtalbahn, then you can surely install this pack and you will not regret it!

 

Brilliant!

But two issues I've noted:

1 Class 350 onboard PIS seems not to work. They all read "This is the train to Calling at "
2 Bigger/busier stations (eg Euston, Watford Jn) at least on my old PC never get around to rendering many textures at close-up LOD. Lots of blurry/jaggy posters and train liveries

 

Empty stock trains (Headcode starting with number 5) will do that, as per default. In service trains all seem to be working as expected here
Old PC might be a problem. We did reckon you'd need higher than normal PC specs.
