The Glasgow South Western is a very scenic line that runs between Glasgow, East Kilbride, Ayr, Kilmarnock and Carlisle. It's operated by Class 156's and in its TSW iteration would host 23 station.
    These would be:
    Glasgow Central
    Crossmyloof
    Pollokshaws West
    Thornliebank
    Giffnock
    Clarkston
    Busby
    Thornton Hall
    Hairmyres
    East Kilbride
    Kennishead
    Preisthill & Darnley
    Nitshill
    Barrhead
    Dunlop
    Stewarton
    Kilmaurs
    Kilmarnock
    Troon
    Prestwick International Airport
    Prestwick Town
    Newton-on-Ayr
    Ayr

The 2 depots along this route are:
Corkerhill TMD (this means modeling Dumbreck and Corkerhill stations)
    Ayr TMD
    and
    Kilmarnock Bonnytown Depot

The trains included on this route are the Class 156, the Class 380 (As DLC) and the Class 314 (In place of the Class 318/320 on the Paisley Canal line as drivable services)

The route itself is around 51mi, very doable by dtg's standards and will include guard mode on all services (if I'm not mistaken)

    Services include:
    Glasgow to Corkerhill (Paisley Canal)
    Glasgow to Kilmarnock
    Glasgow to Ayr via Kilmarnock
Glasgow to Ayr (Girvan) via Kilmarnock
    Glasgow to Kilmarnock (Carlisle)
    Glasgow to Barrhead
    Glasgow to East Kilbride
    Ayr to Kilmarnock
    Kilmarnock to Ayr (Girvan)
    Kilmarnock to Ayr (Stranraer)
Ayr to Troon (Glasgow via Paisley Gilmour Street)

Overall, I feel this route would be fun because it provides more than one type of service, for example you could go from driving a local service to East Kilbride or Barrhead and then take a long drive down the west coast to Kilmarnock and the creative possibilities for creators club with class 156 in the game!

    Thank you for considering!

I'd definitely learn that route. For layers we already have the Class 380 for the Glasgow Central to Ayr / Edinburgh / North Berwick services, and it's about time we got a Class 156. Do the Leyland built Class 153's ever go down that line?

Ayr definitely sees rail tours also and the Cathcart 2024 timetable features a Class 40 run that's from Ayr heading to Bo'ness so we could drive that and maybe do a route hop should that become a thing for trains.

    Worth considering indeed!

No, unfortunately they are confined to the West Highland line.

I would love this! A lovely mix of my local lines! Definitely something I'd like to see. Good suggestion. Probably a tad long though.
Edit: wow it's not. 46 miles. Sounds like a great fun network!
