Hello all, with the class 47 can you go beyond the green section in the cab. It's a dial that has a yellow and green section.

If it goes into the yellow zone will it overload the engines or not.

Also anyone noticed with the class 47 (version before blackpool branches etc) that when you click O button on ps5 emergency brakes or brakes seem to be applied. Assume this is because old control scheme clashes with new (aws button and emergency brake seemingly assigned to same button).

i always open throttle all the way in tsw and most of the time, I can just drive fine. The engine doesn't blow up or anything. Might be different for newer content but I've driven all the older content the same and the train will be just fine

And people wonder why DTG don’t bother adding more in-depth simulation …

Is it because people go notch 1>notch 8 or run their SD40s in Bakerloo tunnels and HSTs on Arosa

This is why we can't have nice things.

Hmm yes you may be right, the HST actually derails on Arosa even at ~5mph as the bogies can't turn enough to manage the tight turns

Maybe I'll try a Gronk on there instead

Well, back to the original questions.

Yes you can go into the yellow a bit but not for too long, if you want to be realistic. It is actually possible in some circumstances to make the engine cut out on that loco but it shouldn’t happen normally.

I haven’t noticed the circle button putting the NTP Class 47 brakes on at all. I had a drive with it today and the circle button didn’t do anything untoward when pressing it.
