I would like to see the route Kiel - Flensburg in the TSW2, because this is a German Route along the Blatic Sea. The Route Kiel - Flensburg is a single-track and non-electrified railway line. The journey time is 75 minutes and the distance is 80 km. The top speed is 120 km/h. Between Kiel and Flensburg are ten stops. On this Route drive the RE72 from Kiel until Flensburg without stops in Kiel-Hassee CITTI-PARK, Kornshagen and Gettorf. The another train line on this Route is the RB73 from Kiel until Eckernförde with all stops between Kiel and Eckernförde. On this both train lines drive the DB BR 648. This route must be in TSW2, because I think everybody want to drive the DB BR 648 and everybody want a German Diesel route. Conclusion: This route must be in TSW2
Just some more arguments for this route: It has only 9 Stations A nice bascule bridge over the Schlei (wich will be replaced soon) where cars and trains share the same track You have some nice city-scapes for Kiel but then after leaving the city pretty much only green landscape You get the chance to use the horn several times on the route In Gettorf and Süderbrarup you have to wait for the train in opposite direction, so there could be some PZB action You can, besides using the Lint, put it into a different time periode and use the BR218 with n-coaches (Silberlinge) or the BR 628 DMU, even Intercity-coaches where used The yard in Kiel has a turntable You could integrate the freight yards with the branches to the 3 ferry harbours and the canal harbour where you need to close the levelcrossings by hand in Kiel
I've heard in the last stream, that cabview videos are helpful, so here are some for this route: From Flensburg to Riseby: Riseby to Kiel: A timelaps from Kiel to Flensburg: And a short one from Kiel zu Eckernförde as RB
This can give Koln Aachen a diesel train that can stop at Eilendorf which is bypassed by all trains and Main Spessart Bahn Aschaffenburg Sud Diesel services . If Kiel Flensburg layers diesel trains to SKA & Main Spessart Bahn
Another cabview from Flensburg to Kiel - but this time you can see, what the driver is doing. That's the perspective I always wanted He is driving a BR640 LINT. You can the the speed, PZB and all the good stuff.
To expand the possibilitys of a Kiel Flensburg Route: From Kiel there is a small 4 station branch line to Oppendorf. This branch is reactivated and should run all the way up to Schönberg Strand, but the whole track was deactivated and the works on reactivating the rest haven't started yet. But this could be one of the passenger branches from Kiel, besides freightbranches from the ferry terminals. In the video you can see the new Battery Flirts in action. So to recap: You have a fairly long but manageble route to Flensburg, freightsites at Flensburg and Kiel, freight shunting at the ferry terminals in Kiel and the opportunity for a small extra branch.
