PS5 Lirr Commuter Night Lighting

When I started a service from the Atlantic terminal at around 17:30, there were no lights on the stations or the nearby roads and buildings. It appears that the lights will turn on based on the time of day rather than the amount of natural light present.

Yeah, that's sadly the case west of Jamaica. The rest of the route might be fine though, I believe.

But I agree that it's quite annoying, especially now when it gets darker much earlier.
