While watching the stream, I noticed that the MBB numbers were in the 18– series, in real life, they were the 15– series and they are like that in the Boston Sprinter route. These numbers overlap with the new rotem cars, leading to a very annoying and immersion breaking problem.
Same problem with with the DB Vectrons. They should all be in the 193 3xx range but in game all the DB Vectrons are in the Railpool Vectron number range.
Major problem? Maybe not. But in a train simulator it's still quite significant. Especially because it's pretty easy to fix.
lmao "Major problem" --> some wrong numbers on the train. Can we please reserve that term for actual game-breaking stuff?
While maybe not a game-breaking problem, it is baffling to me, how in the Internet age they can get wrong number ranges so often. All American railroads have huge online rosters kept up-to-date by communities and it's still not enough for DTG not to do it wrong. It's not rocket science to find out what numbers a given company has...
A major problem for authenticity (you know that thing DTG slap all over their marketing), can co-exist with major problems for gameplay.
The BNSF ES44C4 also has the wrong numbers in game and you can see different ones on the loading screen.
Not entirely, BNSF has ES44C4's numbered 3250-3281, but DTG has this range bleed into regular ES44AC territory. But then again, DTG severely screwed up the BNSF SD40-2 number ranges so Im not surprised.
