Many routes have "end to end services" where you can do the return journey. A few examples: Brighton Main Line: All Class 387 services between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport/Brighton and Class 377 between London Victoria and Brighton Southeastern High Speed: ClSs 395 services between St Pancras and Faversham (that don't continue to Ramsgate) Blackpool Branches: All Class 142 services between Blackpool South and Ormskirk Cathcart Circe: pretty much all services. East Coastway: All services between Brighton and Seaford That is not an exhaustive list. Looking at the service description can give a good idea whether or not you're able to do the return journey. For example, if the service goes from St Pancras to Faversham and stops there, the return journey will also be available.
Yes you can play any Service after you already finish one. You just have to meet up with a Train. This is generally how I play, I start a Service, and where I end, I just pick something else close by, or I create my own Scenario's with player placed Loco's. In this Video, I start with my own player placed Loco bringing a Service for Dorking into... well service, and at the end of that I meet up with 1R14 Service to Reigate from London Victoria. This is actually the start of an 8 hour continuous Scenario between 3 different Routes running my own Trains, and Services. So in Timetable Mode, you can pretty much do what ever you want if you have the time to do so.
Yeah I read that lol not discrediting you, just saying I find it random they modelled Reigate in London Commuter and nobody talks about it.
Sorry, I'm not from the area... or UK in general. What exactly are you on about if you don't mind me asking?
Just be aware that if you save a subsequent chained service to return later, it probably won’t load properly (no objective data on screen). A long standing bug which DTG don’t seem able to fix.
There is a town called Reigate in the south of England. It is near Redhill. The London Commuter DLC is a line that runs from London Victoria station to Brighton station via Redhill. They added a small branch line (about 1 mile of extra track) that sees services from London Victoria. In terms of playability, it is similar to Grossenhain on the Naverkehr Dresden DLC (Dresden - Riesa), or Rockwood on the Sand Patch Grade DLC. A short branch off from the main route.
Yes I'm aware of it in the DLC and the location, however I'm confused on "why people should be talking about it". Is there something wrong with it? Is it a good thing? Personally, I've been running the Reigate Service since it's release. A nice little run.
Oh I see. My mistake. Reigate isn't particularly special. opark was just saying how easily forgotten the Reigate branch is whenever people mention London Commuter. Whether or not we agree is a matter of opinion.
Reigate was very poorly finished in terms of detail and scenery, still is AFAIK. Nothing like the real location at all.
Reigate not looking like it does in real life isn't the main issue for me, I've never been there so do not know how it is actually supposed to be. However, that missing piece of track on the line just outside Redhill is annoyingly noticeable.
Ahh ok lol, well I like the Reigate run, I have done it countless times since it's release, and won't stop there. I do wish we would get the Sheernesh Branch for Southeastern Highspeed. I miss running that one.
