I have a quick but sorta... unusual question - about licensing. For example, if I want to create an Indian route in the editor, I have to obtain a license from the corresponding railway company before I publish it, do I see that correctly? Or is there some kind of special regulation? And what about if you even want to create and sell payware?

You are not allowed to sell anything created with the TSW public editor. If you want to do so, you must apply for DTG's 3rd Party Programme.

If you do it as freeware, technically you're not allowed to also redistribute their logo without consent, but practically nobody cares. But selling your product requires a license and publishing through DTG.

Dovetail are responsible as they are the publisher and must have the permission for commercial use of the license. If you release your stuff for free, no one will really care. The worst case would be you'd get contacted by the license owner asking you to remove it, which is unlikely.
