I think that the AP calculation on 1M15 is wrong. Comparable services need far fewer points for a gold medal. I drove like god on 1M15, got 12.273 AP. The gold medal wants 13.750. Would be cool if you can fix this as this service is a part of the journey mode.
While some people here dismiss the importance of action points and medals, I do get a sense of achievement when i am able to get gold or platinum on a route. I also know the system is quite broken. I found a workaround for these cases, but is not really an in-game workaround. I have installed this god mode mod. At the end of a service, if I do not have enough action points to achieve a gold medal (yet i did everything correctly using the safety systems and correct cabin setup) I do spawn a train in god mode and drive a distance that allows me to get the missing AP required. Yes, it is a stupid workaround. Yes, it should be fixed in game. https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...d/c75-utilities/i2703-tsw-god-mode-alpha-0510
I think you are right, and if you search for "1M15" in the forums, you will find several threads that reference this service in regards to its impossible gold status. One of the more reknown of the impossible gold services, I would guess. After this much time a fix would be shocking.
One question, how can you keep your AP when switching trains? Can you give me an instruction on how you do it exactly? Thank you!
I guess my suggestion does not really work for those services which make you start in the engineer seat and make you "abandon" the scenario if you switch trains. I guess a second workaround would be to just stop the train at one point in time during the scenario, and drive in reverse in a section of track which does not contain red lights for the opposite direction, and then gain points. Another stupid way to get AP, but this maybe works better in your case.
omg i drove 1 hour for silver :'( 12134 pts - 13750 is impossible to reach even with all security systems plz fix !!
I don't chase medals, but it annoys me that this service is the only one in Journey Mode that is "incomplete". Subconsciously, to me, having a gold (or platinum for routes TSW4 and beyond), means that particular service is complete.
Yes, the same for me. Almost perfect ride, got 12.611 points. And this is only one to complete whole add-on with gold.
