guard mode doesent work right and the 170 screens also bug. you cant set them properly any more and also the inside screens is to small. any others that are broken? i'm sure there are more things to
I am glad they fixed that, highly irritating and I can't believe it wasn't sorted before the original release.
The patch notes sound really good but I’m just about to fire it up and see for myself. I like how the Forth Road bridge now has night lighting. That was a must. And the Ballast. I’ll report back once I’ve had a go
Have just done a run from Markinch down to Edinburgh and it is definitely an improvement in general terms. It was in the rain so surroundings not the clearest but no trees or bridges cutting through the cab, immediate line side is much better. Still not perfect but definitely better. Would be good to get the cottage at Aberdour station done too. Look forward to the new timetable/livery with the 158.
I've given it a go straight away as it's my day off of work and thought why not? Whilst I am grateful for this extension and it being free, what are put across as major patch notes and upgrades seem relatively minor compared to patches for other routes. The Class 170 still has awful running sounds (it has nothing to do with the cab being insulated, it literally only activates running sounds when braking or accelerating. Running sounds are absolutely non existent when coasting). I don't know what it is about the lighting and sun light on this route but they seem incredibly offish and to intense. I'm just surprised the huge 'updates' outside of the Leven Branch we were promised just appear to be a few relatively minor patches and nothing extravagant. Also I thought it was disappointing that the revamped 158 timetable hasn't been updated alongside this. The route just feels absolutely dead and empty. 5/10 for me... Do I sound ungrateful? Probably. But you can't lie and pretend somethings great when it's really not. I commend Rivet for putting the work into adding the Leven Branch for free, but the build quality of the route and community feed back does not seem to have sunk in. For 6 months work, it doesn't really show in my opinion. Analogy wise, Rivet reminds me of French car manufacturer like Renault. Tries offering quirky designs or innovative features that sounds good, but it doesn't translate as intended in the actual build quality... Like a 2005 Renault Scenic. So for me personally there's still a lot of improvements that need doing to this route. It has huge potential for players, but that's for Rivet to realise if they haven't by now...
I’m assuming this hasn’t come out on PS5 yet ???. I’m still on TSW4 at the moment will that matter ??. Do I need to upgrade to TSW5 ??.
I remember Adam from SkyHook saying that they were in talks with Rivet regarding Haymarket depot being opened up to allow ECS movements in their 158 timetable. Has that actually came to fruition or is Haymarket Depot still all closed off? (Screenshot below for citation.)
Technically Haymarket isn't closed off it is just that the running tracks have been badly labelled (two different lines even having the same name) and then ignored. I have managed to get a scenario to start from within the depot and have also added a couple of depot moves to other test scenarios. However this is much harder to do than it should be.
