Tried to make one in formation designer but it won’t let me change the direction of the 3rd car using EMTs and can’t couple 1 car to the other 2 in free roam.
I think they may be referring to when FGW/GWR did run three car 158 sets in a similar fashion to the three car 150 sets (not 150001/2) rather than three car sets that had purpose built centre cars, so one two car unit with one additional vehicle bolted on to the front which had been taken from another disbanded unit.
The "FCE: Completed the Loop" Steam achievement doesn't work either. I am now convinced that the update broke achievements on the route and thus, I would like confirmation that this is a known issue to be corrected in the next update.
Hi, when trying to setup my own scenario, it will only give me one platform to be used to start trains from Edinburgh Waverley. Is this a bug, or deliberate? As there definitely should be more platforms available, certainly in this station. Thanks.
Steam Achievements are handled by DTG, not the route maker. You should open a Support Ticket with DTG.
I have done so, and I was essentially told to go [insensitive language] myself. I am quite mad and disgusted at that response, yet somehow not surprised. Underscores are mine. They can't even confirm if it's a known issue, but they're doing their best, you guys Update: it is, apparently, a known issue. Whether it became known because of my ticket or it was known previously, remains unclear due to vague wording, so here's the quote from support.
There is a bug at ABERDOUR STATION, where the bridge is placed too low, causing the train roof to strike it when passing underneath. EXPECTED RESULT: The train should pass under the bridge without clipping it. ACTUAL RESULT: The train roof clips the bridge, as the bridge is placed too low. REPRODUCIBILTIY: Always. HOW TO RECREATE THE BUG: 1. Start Train Sim World 4 on XBOX Series S 2. Select TO THE TRAINS 3. Select FIFE CIRCLE LINE: EDINBURGH - MARKINCH route 4. Select TIMETABLE. 5. Select 1L75 EDINBURGH WAVERLEY - PERTH 6. Select START 7. Drive the train as normal. When leaving ABERDOUR STATION, the train roof will hit the bridge, as the bridge is too low.
There is a bug when approaching BURNTISLAND STATION, where the train will crash through a large tree. EXPECTED RESULT: The train should not crash through a large tree. ACTUAL RESULT: The train crashes through a large tree. REPRODUCIBILTIY: Always. HOW TO RECREATE THE BUG: 1. Start Train Sim World 4 on XBOX Series S 2. Select TO THE TRAINS 3. Select FIFE CIRCLE LINE: EDINBURGH - MARKINCH route 4. Select TIMETABLE. 5. Select 1L22 DUNDEE - EDINBURGH WAVERLEY 06:13 6. Select START 7. Drive the service as normal 8. As you approach BURNTISLAND STATION, the train will crash through a large tree.
I like that. You have to stay awake and duck! All good fun One fault I've found is the double yellow before Haymarket (heading to Edinburgh) doesn't sound the AWS.
They're aware. There's no way they're not aware. You hit that tree in, like, half the services. The only reason that tree is still there is this: when the route initially released, all the ridicule on social media was directed to 1) that one grey house right next to the track and 2) lack of runways within Edinburgh Airport. So, borrowing from the GTA Definitive Edition playbook of fixing only the things that get the most hate online, that's what Rivet bothered to fix in the patch, along with some other scenery and general "not making the grass looks like plastic"-type stuff (the successfulness of which remains up for debate in places). Unless and until there's similar uproar about this one tree, you can rest assured that it's not getting fixed in the next patch/next year/several years/ever. It is Rivet we're talking about, after all. P.S. I very much like the sarcastic tone present throughout. "The train should not crash through the large tree." *pause* "The train crashes through the large tree." Uproarious stuff, man.
I promise I wasn't trying to be sarcastic. Just following the "bug reporting template" thing... I just copy/paste it every time No worries. You just helped by confirming the bug exists, so that's really epic too!
Just purchased all the Scottish routes in the sale. And the 158 not in the sale. Mostly a good experience so far. Fife a large number of floating scenery objects are very present for over a mile.11 miles out. All three routes are generally good .
The update is out and what i can see sofar.... Bizar what a huge step forward... This is a route that they had bring by release. The only thing its not included is the 158 but that will come later. To other users please test it its a blessing to play now
I've just bought it to try it out and i must say it looks so much better the leven branch is brilliant just need the 158 services added now
Still no extra paths utilising Edinburgh Waverley which means scenario creation is useless because yours is the only train there. When will DTG and other developers do something about it? I want to create scenarios but they make it so difficult.
Sorry did you check the route and do you noticed what they have done? They have done it without earn extra money. It was fair to complain by the release but now start again is for a little bizar.
I’m not going to argue that adding a new branch isnt great, especially for free, but that doesn’t absolve the existing issues.
To be fair Do you check the route? They have update the whole addon not only the levenbranche! Its a massive update.
"Nitpicking" It's called a feedback thread, not a "positive feedback only" thread. You don't have to like my point, but it's still a valid one. One that was made on day one, and one that Matt said he'd ask them to sort and it's still the same. I want to create scenarios for this route but it's pointless until they sort it.
The 170 sounds seems to have become broken. Whenever I switched to an external view wether the train is at a stand or in motion it sounds like a fighter jet flying overhead. It's been there for a while but after this update it's really prominent and distracting. This is on PS5.
No a big improvement in a large scale! Thats correct the sounds are strange and missing running track sounds.
Really good update. Plenty of effort put in.They've not just added two new stations, there's lots of improvement absolutely everywhere. Noticeably busier.
Except it’s not nitpicking, is it? Scenario editor is advertised as a core game feature. So it should work as intended. If paths are missing from scenario editor resulting in the inability to create a basic scenario due to said lack of pathing options - that is not being “picky” or “pedantic” - it’s a perfectly valid and reasonable issue to report.
You can use the scenario planner but its not how he want it! Where he is complaining is about missing "extra" paths!
Yes. And those “Extra Paths” really shouldn’t be “Extra Paths” - they should be included from the start. Scenario planner is already quite restricted due to the lack of not being able to use portals. Add to that the minimal number of available pathing options further heavily reduces what you can add in terms of AI traffic - therefore effectively making it pointless. It is not nitpicking. It’s a valid issue to be raised.
Yeh the sound on the 170 seems a bit odd but overall a big improvement to the route the Leven branch looks great once the 158 services are added it will be much better
21/11/2024 after Leven Branch update. Floaty Mc Float Float Trees and Bushes at the entrance to the Leven Branch
The update is quite good, but there are still some signalling issues, mainly position-type route indicator. No matter what route you get out of Waverley, or at Glenrothes south junction, you get no route indicator, which means you cannot adapt your speed depending on what points you get sent across
Three issues with the Leven branch in the one photo for Rivet to look at. 1. Destination, station PIS systems and announcements are blank instead of showing "Leven". 2. Not sure what they've done but it seems the Class 170 now has special windows that allows passengers to get some fresh air to their arms. Never seen this feature IRL. 3. No passengers at either of the new stations. What with all the Network Rail vans about has this been made in the narrow era between their site visit and the station opening. Maybe that's why the destination has to remain a secret. 4. Some very odd foliage (not shown) on the southern trackside just beyond the junction taking you onto the new branchline. 5. Leven services are usually Class 158s and (correct me if I'm wrong) I believe there is a Class 158 available in TSW.
Remove all mods! Those are not compatible are: Fife Circle Line Timetable 2024 by Fawx Fife Circle Line Enhancementpack Jetwash LOD fixes for class 170 The last one makes the train so as you shared in picture with standing passengers. And please before complain remove always first youre mods they are not compatible anymore
On PS5, I had passengers board my 170 at Leven and Cameron Bridge. Departure boards were working at the two stations on the branch as well. The reason why it's 170s and not 158s is because the 158 timetable hasn't been released yet.
By removing this mod the train is normal again! https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...ches/i4090-tsw45-train-lighting-lod-fixes-v27
Xander1986, how about the other Fife circle paks like Fife LNER 801 and other similar ones related to the added trains?
Why you need them? Without a timetable they do nothing! The Azuma is already on the route in the timetable by rivet.
I've just experienced something game breaking, it broke my heart when it happened as I was really looking forward to it. Loki the Dog at Leven. I wanted to stroke him and I can't, it's not on lol.
