Not sure if this has been discussed. But was wandering in the forest in Niddertalbahn and I came across a plaque with the designers names on it. Beside it was a mailbox with "next stop ba wü" on it. Does this mean the German team are or were working on a route around Stuttgart?
I believe it was something to do with the upcoming Mittenwaldbahn from TSG - going by the teaser video:
Do you know what it means? If they scribbled put the 'Wu' and put 'Yern' in, does this mean Baden-Wurttemberg isn't coming? Is Bayern another area?
Bayern is what the English-speaking world calls Bavaria, the German state in which the section between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Austrian-German border of the Mittenwaldbahn is located.
Mittenwaldbahn lies entirely in Bayern and Tirol, not BaWu. The scribble-out "correction" in the teaser references the BaWu clue left in Niddertalbahn. My guess is that TSG at that time was planning to do a BaWu route, the Hollental or Ulm-Stuttgart or one of the runs through Freiburg i. B., but decided against it, possibly for the data cost reason Lukas mentioned.
I just realized that maybe the DB BR 218 was meant to be the loco of BaWu, and because of the cost of the geo-data, it was decided it to release it like a stand alone loco. Hope that BaWu comes eventually, maybe with Ludmilla.
