Dear DTG, I own all TSW-DLC's. I made one mistake. I didn't bought the former Digital Deluxe Version, that included the GP 40. Would it be possible to bring that locomotive as a locomotive DLC. It would be very nice. Thanks in advance.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to write about this. I had also bought the standard edition of TSW since I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy the game. I absolutely love the game and would like the option to get the GP-40 as well. I know it’s really similar to the GP-38 but as someone who really enjoys this game I would like to be able to have the whole collection.
Fingers crossed mate, that we can complete our locomotive collection someday . And even the GP 40 is very simular to the GP 38, there are some strong differences. Because of the use of a turbo charger it has 50 percent more horsepower than the GP 38. The engine with the same size with mutch more performance gets more hot and needs more cooling down. For that reason the GP 40 has 4 air coolers on it's rooth compared with the 3 the GP 38 has. So I think the GP40 is one of the most capable freight locomotives. It has a medium size. And the performance is not so much lesser than that the big freight locomotives like the SD 70 have. So they are able for shunting and pulling medium freight trains.
Hello mates, perhaps there is a good sign for getting the GP 40 to Peninsula Corridor. In the driver's manual for the Peninsula Corridor they write about multiple unit setting of the GP 38. And in that chapter on page 14 and 15 the write about the GP40 explicitly. But perhaps it's a writing mistake from DTG only.
You made a right point with that. The SD 40 would be a nice addition for console players. The AC4400 would be nice too.
That's a good point because you have both, GP-40 and GP-38 with NEC. The GP-40 would fit in with Peninsula Corridor.
The GP 40 is available on market place for Xbox One as a separately dlc. I hope it will be possible for PS4 too.
