Xbox Games To Gift Sales Now Live! (prev. Thread "no Sales")

Unless you're after one or more of the TSW5 core routes, you'd get the Free Starter Pack and then Blackpool Branches.

There's no need to purchase TSW5 at the moment unless you want one or more core route, so given a Free Starter Pack is available until the new year (who knows, it might even go beyond thay), that's what people would choose, assuming they had the common sense to look around first.

 

Literally all my friends got the free starter pack because nobody wanted the routes included in TSW5, but plenty of them want WCML Over Shap. So yeah, given a choice between £16.99 + £0.00 vs £25....

 

They seem to despise the game and all the people who play it. Not sure why they’re on the forums other than to troll to be honest. The “autistic” comment just shows their utter contempt.

 

It can't be that weird, if you actually acknowledge the connection.

It's a shame DTG can't post an official response to this, would clear up all the nonsense noise about the issue.

 

They have several times. Go watch the roadmaps from 2 years ago.

 

Its not hard its because its on gamepass and they have a deal tied up between themselves on a niche product.

 

It has NOTHING to do with Microsoft refusing a sale, it's the most absurd thing I've ever heard. When the game is on gamepass you get a constant 10 per cent off. When it's not on game pass you get the odd sale like 2 for 1 or a proper discount. When TSW4 was removed from game pass they had a sale right before TSW5 release, but that's because it was between both games being on game pass.

 

DTG doesn't care about Xbox customers

 

Using comments from 2 years ago is not the most convincing argument.

 

Nothing to do with DTG as has been said many time by members on here and by Matt on the roadmaps.
It's 100% down to Microsoft, and the fact they have it on gamepass is the reason why sales are non existent.

They should find a way to make it fair to all customers.

 

I don't disagree, but DTG cannot Influence the X Box sales strategy.
That being the case, we are left out in the cold until such a time that Xbox decide to offer it up.
The fact that TSW5 has just been released si probably not helping it.

The reason why doesn't really even matter. The bottom line is that Xbox users are paying more money for the same product.

oh this reminds me.... have any other xbox users noticed that for a few weeks after the release of TSW5 the store would show that EVERYTHING is on sale as it loads.... but then when you get in its nothing.

 

I agree with you it's not fair on xbox users we get nothing in sales and really annoying

 

well early last year they actually had a few sales. I bought everything they had on sale, and bought a few more at the full price to show my appreciation. Im feeling more and more like that appreciation just doesn't go both ways.

Games are very expensive also on PS5, don’t waste your money on another console that runs TSW5 routes like a dog. Seriously, save up and get a PC, then open your mind to a world of high frame rates, cheap games and all the mods you can eat.

Well they have said until they are blue in the face back when tsw 2 came and then rush hour and then TSW 3 and again fkr TSW 4.

I'm pretty sure they are sick of repeating themselves because people like you don't want to believe the answer from someone who has been on boared since day 1 the game came out and have read/ watched every stream in the last 5 years.

Honestly, I don't care. If you have a business & customers then it's just something you have to do.

 

Or maybe you can go back and read. Or listen to people who know what they are talking about. They arent going to reply to every thread about xbox sales twice a month.

This a community thread where people can answer if they know. Thats the whole point of the community.

Pretty annoying isn't it. And that is probably how DTG feels.

 

Sometimes it's about getting an answer ( which I've gotten since I DID read that already), sometimes it's just about reminding them that they have a group of customers that don't feel like they are being treated fairly. What they do or don't do about it is their business.
Honestly I don't think they are too bothered it. If you are maybe you could just ignore it?

Depends on so many factors; "off the shelf" PCs can be pricey and cheaper ones tend to use less than optimal components to keep the price down, so most PC gamers including myself prefer to assemble their own (it's a fun hobby in itself). There's a ton of information online but to get started the TechLabUK channel has a bunch of videos on building a PC on a budget (https://www.youtube.com/@TechLabUK).

 

That sounds fun, I wish I knew how. I have an off the shelf PC, but unfortunately it's not that great. TSW5 actually looks much better on my Xbox. I appreciate the link. I'll check it out even if I don't end up building / buying a new PC. thanks

 

Understand that but DTG know xbox get no sale most of the time so could you not offer a couple off routes discounted for short period so we can have chance to grab a bargain just a thought.

Being invited to take part in a sale is a bit different from MS refusing for TS content to be on sale.

 

One thing I regularly do for friends with no PC building experience is help advise them on parts, and once the purchased components all arrive at their house I will go on a video call with them, with one of my old PCs I have fully dismantled, and walk them through the entire assembly process step by step. They are always surprised at how self-explanatory it all is, once it clicks that every part matches up to a connector on another part.

Still no sale, I already know there’s nothing DTG can do but this is quite bad for us. I just wish I knew what was going to go on sale so I could actually buy other and still have money for tsw DLCs

 

I'm not autistic and have zero interest in those sort of games, I may download them when free, play them Probably once and then uninstall.

 

I've come to the conclusion that tsw is very low priority with Microsoft witch is why tsw dlc is rarely on sale for that they suck i know its not DTG fault.

 

Yes like me paying £42 for Farming Simulator 25, playing beyond the two hour refund window and wishing I’d spent the money on TSW or TSC! Or looking at MSFS for £72 and going, no fudging way! (Not that my PC could run it). Of course there are other games I do enjoy like the truck sims, Snowrunner etc. but there is also a lot of overpriced tat out there.

 

The game I play most outside of TSW is Red Dead Redemption 2. Never online, I just play offline and just go exploring.

 

Love that game and can't wait for gta 6!

 

I ride the trains around Night City in CP77 a bunch.

 

I could kick myself really hard for paying top dollar for the deluxe version of TSW5 just a few weeks ago. I'm hardly touching those routes and now they all seem to be in the remainder pile.

Should have gotten the free upgrade and waited for WCMLOS and MBTA.

Looking at True Achievements, there are 10 DLCs that Game Pass discounts 'sales' are ending tomorrow. Could mean we are about to get some discounted routes ... List includes Blackpool Branches, Fife Circle and Maintalbahn which I don't think have been on sale before.
