Just wondering, I have an xbox series s. Is this route performance good on the xbox series s or is it having problems?
There seems to be an issue with crashing currently, as you get near Carlisle, haven’t been able to complete any northbound services yet. Otherwise it’s fine in my experience
Just finished my first run, that being the second journey second service Preston to Carlisle nonstop. The experience was perfect, as good as it gets for TSW and certainly for TSW on Series S. No crashes, but I would note that the only layers I currently own are TVL with Class 31 & 20. I have also not been able to independently verify that the timetable has not been altered for Series S since I don't have all the layers to begin with, but I haven't found any glaring omissions either. So far.
Haven't managed to get from end to end once without being dumped out. Has happened at Lancaster and Penrith. Series S. Shame as the DLC looks epic. TBF same issue randomly on WCML south and other routes. 31, 40, 45 and 142 layered in.
I'm on Series S and I've only had two goes at full line runs, both with Steam railtours. On my first run from Preston with the Jubilee, the game crashed as I was driving through Penrith and I tried the Flying Scotsman one from Carlisle and it crashed about a mile or so from journeys end at Preston. Hopefully it's not too much of a fix for JT, as it's such a fantastic route, even if it's difficult to complete a full run so far. I do own all the UK content for TSW and all switched on. I know on some routes for Series S, it's recommended to do the Reduced Timetable version, so is it possible with all available layers and route length/assets that it might be a bit too much for the console to handle? Another issue I've had is random camera movement. When driving the camera zooms forward without touching it and have to move it back manually.
I've just driven from Oxenholme to Windermere in free roam. Shame this branch was not completed - the track is all there, the stations planned and mapped, and the basis of Kendal is in place. The scenery would have been terrific, and the line would have been very different to the Morecambe branch. I'm not sure there is a similar single track, very rural, line in TSW.
On my S series the first couple of full length runs ended up in crashes, but now it is running as well as it does on my PC, which admittedly isn't excellent itself but smooth enough.
