I am considering buying the Class 20 but I'd like to know if there are many railtour services for it on the UK DLC's?

The Class 20 is utilized on a railtour for Blackpool Branches and WCML Preston - Carlisle :)

Can't remember seeing the Class 20 on railtours. If there are any, they're rare.

Blackpool branches, Preston-Carlisle and I'm sure there's another, but can't think railtour wise.
Other than that, Tees Valley uses it gor freight

You can use it on SEHS on a rail tour as I recall.

I think all the Classic Diesels layer onto the Railtour on East Coastway.

You can run a railtour with the Class 20 on both Blackpool Branches and WCML - Preston to Carlisle.

There is a light loco move for the Class 20 on The Goblin Line (or whatever it's called) but I think that's it, don't think it layers onto anything else unfortunately.

The Class 20's most notable railtours as previously said are on JT's two routes. It can also layer onto the railtours on East Coastway and Glasgow Cathcart, and can also run services on the West Somerset diesel timetable. It has a small cameo appearance on SEHS, not as a railtour but as a pair of locos which you tow on the RHTT delivery service.

Asides from that of course, its biggest contribution to other routes is the limestone wagons that it comes with. These open up extra freight services on a handful of different routes too. It's a similar story with the Class 31, where its concrete tankers have probably been utilised more than the loco itself.

I've only done the BPO thusfar, which is excellent. You get to visit all the nooks and crannies on the route, a bit like a Branch Line Society tour.
I'm looking forward to the Shap one
