So I got really bored and some of you guys have really cool profile pictures so let’s hear where they came from! So obviously I’ve gotta start this off here is me and 43357 with my mates uncle looking on in interest
My picture was taken while railfanning in Ohio. I just thought it was funny how short this train was.
Not actually my photo, but from Google Photos/Reddit; an FL9 and a P32, both in the "McGinnis" paint scheme laying over in Danbury, CT together. I do have plenty of my own photos from this location, but the photo in my avatar is just a really cool shot.
Mine is from a pic I really liked of a 123 and a 124 unit at Paragon in the early 80s, I really like the 124s with the wraparound windows, unfortunately models of them are really hard to get or really expensive.
WorthValley railway, the co-op carpark just on the road from the station 2023. Where was your picture taken Derek?
Mine is HLE 1888 hauling an IC12 train approaching Brussels North ! I'm quite glad how this picture turned out
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fr...astern-canada-rail-network-amid-blockades/amp funny story: I actually found this picture while reading the article and I liked it so much I decided to use it lol.
Mine is of Thomas the Tank Engine, in case someone didn't somehow know. Like the books, like the show. Looked around for an image, and found this one.
Mine's something I came up playing around with AI. I hope Sharon E comes on this thread as their profile pic cracks me up! I'd love to know the background
Mine is a shot of a Hymek I took at the East Lancashire Railway last summer (from Heywood station). Was quite pleased with how it turned out.
one of a couple new units Stadler KISS 160 for Slovak Railways... it does some services from Bratislava to Žilina and from Bratislava to Nové Zámky, tho they sometimes allocate them to other routes from the capital ... it also has a couple services from Nové Zámky that pass my hometown of Galanta on their way to Bratislava ... one time I had picked the specific time just to ridge the very front car on top level ... looks stunning and is nice from the inside too... on the route it went 140 kph for some sections (thanks to relatively recent upgrades ) probably the best EMU or train in general in Slovak railway fleets (they also have a couple Vectrons, but those are only on lease) ... also, to me, it looks stunning ... would LOVE to drive this one or other iteration of KISS in TSW ))
Mine is the Arrow III EMU which I took a picture of last year in Princeton station located on a branch line from the Northeast Corridor Trenton to Boston route
Mine is a belgian class 16 multi system loco. They were usde in Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, France. They were replaced by thalys trains. And now taken out of service. The pictures were made during a train safari. They had a line up of the surviving locos
I’ve changed this temporarily, but mine is a Intercity DVT in Roblox’s British Railway (actually good) game I was going to use this, but I wanted to use a photo that I took
I was just browsing for a good profile picture and came across this amtrak cascades SC-44. It suits me, as i live in the PNW.
Of course, that Roblox DVT was (as I said) temporary, so now I have this profile of 59103 at Westbury for a (some reason 3 59’s?!) light movement for the 4th of May Star Wars Railtour (Eastleigh - Exeter Central)
Mine is taken in Sankt Olof, southern Sweden on a heritage railway called Skånska Järnvägar. The best things in the world in one picture
my new profile is from the renderings for new Stadler SMILE (also known as Girunos when driving under SBB) for Austrian private railway operator WESTbahn - these new units will serve a new line from Wien via Graz and Klagenfurt to Villach, thus utilizing the new Koralmbahn (that segment has top operating speed 250 kph when done, so this train will fit perfectly) nicely
My profile picture is one of my work machines that I drive for SBB. The one in the profile picture is the SBB Cargo Am 843. I have done the tests for various shunting locomotives and can therefore work on many different shunting locomotives. Here's another shunting locomotive that I'm allowed to drive, although there are a few more. But I can't list them all here.
My profile picture is of a Class 385 EMU at Linlithgow on the Edinburgh-Glasgow mainline (ScotRail eXpress in TSW) .
Mine was taken last month at Tenterden Town station and is a J94, one of my favourite locos. If you have never been on the Kent and East Sussex Railway there is a steep incline on the approach to Tenterden which makes for a wonderful spectacle. The J94s in particular make an awful lot of noise as they power up the bank. It's a sight and sound that never gets old or boring.
