Honestly, like I don’t even get why people can’t just chill and appreciate stuff like this like the guy literally put in so much effort and people still have the nerve to complain like seriously??? If you think it’s boring then go make your own route or something instead of tearing down someone who’s clearly trying their best it’s not that hard to be positive and supportive so maybe just take a step back and stop being so negative all the time like wow some people really need to learn how to just be decent

thanks chatgpt for writing a response

So giving criticism is being horrible? Right...

No one has been personally nasty, the only criticism I've seen is regarding the routes length. No one's denying hard work has gone into it. The problem regards chopping an already short line in its full length back to Willesden instead of Richmond. Hardly hard hitting stuff.

You have to learn, if you put your product in the spotlight it is open to criticism. And that is EXACTLY what the forum is for. I'm sure Johane is perfectly level headed and capable of taking the criticism without the need of dedicated threads looking to single out those criticising the route itself.

Behave yourself and learn to accept people can disagree politely and debate a subject like adults, without the need to single them out and demonise them for disagreeing with your stance on a subject.

I have reservations about the scope of the route but I don't think using descriptive words and phrases like hilarious, diabolical and half baked is being particularly polite!

I created the discussion thread in question so people can give their thoughts on the route. Those thoughts will be positive and there will be criticism which is what a dicussion thread is for. Based on what has been said, everyone seems to agree that the route looks to be well made but people understandably are critiquing the fact that the full Mildmay line which is 17 miles from Stratford to Clapham Junction won't be made and that it will end at Willesden Junction.

Nobody is tearing this developer a new one or has been horrible. Honestly, people are really overreacting and just act like everyone has to be positive and not be able to criticize a product. It's like some people here can't handle criticism like 2 year old child and expect every response to be 100% positive with zero criticism

I respect your stance, but still don't retract my comments on it. I still think it's all of those words for the reasons I've already described in other threads. To think a chopped portion of a short end to end route is progress? God forbid...

The scenary and detail looks good. But it's much like having a railway layout, and then a railway diorama for me... As they say on Dragons Den, I'm out!

There's not much more I can add to any of the threads I'm participating in that I haven't already said.

I sincerely respect everyone's views, all I ask is just have the courtesy back.

It’s pretty par the course that any time a British route comes out there’s always a pile of people pulling their hair out if it doesn’t run from London to Glasgow and include every class train ever made.

Nobody has done that though for this route and nobody is asking for a 400+ mile route. The full Mildmay line is only 17 miles and only 12 miles of the route are being made

    Pragmatic, yes, horrible certainly not.

As noted above, if you create something and expect to get paid for it then that comes with the baggage of constructive criticism - good or bad.

The Class 378 is a good choice (though I would prefer a 501!), but cutting the route short at Willesden makes little sense. Not going to Clapham Jn is understandable, but Richmond to Stratford is the North London Line. I refuse to call it Mildmay. It is really just a lost opportunity and perhaps the hope of these comments is that the author might have a rethink and decide a couple of more months to push the line on to Richmond will be worth the far greater returns it is likely to get.

Hi folks - this is not the kind of thread we need to foster around the announcement of the Mildmay line earlier today.

Please feel free to share constructive criticism and your opinions on the reveal, if that's to do with route length or the content with the add-on, these are both acceptable, however we will not condone conversation that is directly targeting individuals who work with our teams.

This specific thread didn't have anything obscene that I saw, but the entire framing and purpose of the thread is unnecessary and not helpful to the discussion, so I have locked it. Please keep this in mind when discussing it further elsewhere in our forums. Thank you.
