Ooh, happy for the F59! The Metrolink routes are growing more and more appealing to me. Might get San Bernardino once this releases!

 

I sense some disappointment that it's not another UK item. Oh well, they can't all be you know.

I'm not turning my nose up at a US loco, especially one I see every day. DTG is certainly milking its Metrolink connection, with " more to come ".

Fair enough, but the Great Freight Famine continues.

However, I agree an Amtrak train set would be a great Christmas gift.

Well, there's still almost 3 weeks to go.

 

Indeed, while it's not for me it's still great to see something announced for US routes.

 

It's a decent announcement, anything for the US is to be welcomed because yes, they have been short changed recently.

I genuinely wasn’t expecting an F59PH. I thought we’d never get one. I’m so happy.

 

I always appreciate getting more loco DLCs, but this was a good choice for two main reasons:
1. It complements the Metrolink rail scene well and adds variation to two routes.
2. It utilizes one of the (from my impression) few cooperative railroad companies in the United States to make a solid product.

I hope in addition to getting the F59PHR on to the Antelope Valley line, that this also makes the San Bernardino line stock available in its timetable as well. This reminds me of Peninsula Corridor now with the amount of available trains, so I am very much looking forward to this releasing.

We have 710s that could operate as unbranded GA class 720s

 

The F59PHR also fits into what the team that went to Los Angles was able to obtain. Should, based on the onsite data, have a good sound set as well as physics.

 

DTG Alex this thread will be chaotic by friday, will next weeks ones be locked to announcements only?

 

Can't honestly say that I am at all interested in the announcement, as frankly I am not, but at least DTG do know how to make a loco DLC which actually has a loco, rather than a unit. Also, the woman doing the video seemed, to my ears, northern, that can't be right for DTG?

 

I do think a seperate thread for each announcement would have worked better than one per week.

Just pondering, are the announcements all going to be content related or will some relate to the core?

Someone already stated rather mischievously that the biggest reveal will be subscription gameplay. However what about news of fixes we have been waiting endlessly for, such as more save game slots and other fixes to the save? Or a reprieve for steam traction with better physics and a new period route under construction, either something GWR or the Somerset and Dorset.

 

Also, fun fact. Its been just over 10 years since the TSC version of "Metrolinks" F59PH has been released. (Sep 18, 2014)

Ah right, bloody hell, this is the first stream/video I have watched with her in it. I must applaud her for being able to break into Dovetail towers.

 

Still hoping for the reveal of the Santa Fe RR pack. I would want ATSF GP60s (all 3 versions), GP50s, SD75Ms, C44-9Ws, C40-8Ws/C41-8Ws, C30-7s, U36Cs/SF30Cs, B40-8s/B40-8Ws, B36-7s, B23-7s, SD40-2s, SD39s, SD26s (rebuilt SD24s), SD45-2s, SD45Us, F45s/FP45s, SDF40-2s, GP39-2s, GP38Us, GP35Us, and GP30Us. All of these would have been seen on ATSF's Cajon Pass in the early-mid 1990s when the pack is set. We'd probably get only a few of these locos, though. I would love to see ATSF #3751, but that won't happen. Plus, we need Super Chief passenger cars for the ATSF F7s, along with freight-liveried F7s. As for Amtrak, a P42DC, P32-8BWH, or F40PH with the SW Chief Superliner consist would be awesome to see. However, that probably won't happen either.

Hoping that the big announcement might be that we finally see some co-op features. Where you can run a server (like farming simulator) where you can take control of trains in timetable mode, and play driver or conductor with your friends in the same gaming environment. Here's hoping anyhow!

 

Another Overground route. As I like commuter railways all over the world, I'm looking forward to it.

 

Hopefully we get a reveal of the New Haven or Hudson line this month. Nice to see the London Overhround and the Metrolnk F59PHR revealed

No, though got to be the first Northerner, I wonder if the Towers had to implement a procedure to ensure no employees became too shocked at the sound of her voice, as they must not be used of anyone North of the A14, forget Sheffield.

 

I for one am glad to see a loco dlc. Some routes could desperately do with some loco dlc to add intrest

 

So I wonder if today will be a German reveal since we have had a UK and US reveal so far. Maybe a Berlin route ??. Probably a 1% chance of that happening but I suppose it’s all good fun having a guess anyway lol.

 

I'm hoping for a Freithliner class 57 or 90 and 66 DLC pack.

Have no idea if any of that fits with licensing cutoff, but would be great to get more British loco DLCs.

 

As I mentioned earlier, suspect it might be a date for Mittenwaldbahn. An outside chance it could be be the 420 finally coming.

Would be nice. Enjoyed the TSC version especially the sounds which were reminiscent of our old much loved Class 310 units that used to operate local services out of Euston.

I know there's been a NYRM and Esk Valley route in development for a little while, it would be great if that got an official reveal on this calendar!
