Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG. Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition. Rules: • TSC only shots allowed. • Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes. • You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish. • 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory. • Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves). • The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge). • The Judge of the week's decision is final. • We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so. • Please keep chat to an absolute minimum. Entries will close at 9PM GMT on Friday, December 13th 2024 and will be judged by me - Craigie- C In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 17:00 on December 15th, 2024 a new thread will be created using the results of this weeks poll. The theme for this week is: Hills & Valleys Feel free to interpret the theme however you wish. Good luck to all, but most importantly, remember to have fun.

All great entries! still low on numbers, do you fancy keeping this running for the coming week & maybe extend the comp to 2 weeks.over the Christmas period? Just a thought to get some more entries
I am more than happy to run this theme for another week if that is the popular decision. I am aware that we are in the season of madness when play time can become an issue, plus we all have curve balls that come our way, I personally have only just got home after having to travel to a family funeral some distance from where I live. On saying that I would like to ask the opinions of Blazin mfeets and burnsys_bashes who have taken the time and effort to provide some stunning last minute shots which I truly appreciate and admire. I really think the decision to extend or not should be down to you guys that have taken part this week. I am happy to go with the flow either way dependant on your thoughts. Please let me know how you feel at your earliest convenience. Best wishes to all.
Personally I see no issue with you extending, I feel getting a wider range of entries will make it more of a competition.
While preferably I like sticking to the weekly basis I have no issue with extending it either so feel free to have it go on a bit longer. Either way even if I said no the majority here wants to continue; so fine by me.
Thanks for your prompt responses I have extended the deadline accordingly to next Friday (Dec 13th). cheers all.
Union Pacific train MROKS-15 crosses between the small valley formed by the opposing directions of I-15 in Midvale, Utah.
Hi all, decision time has now arrived. Must admit I was hoping for a few more entries given the extension but hey-ho, tis that time of year methinks. To all of you that have entered I can only say "WOW! Thank you". The quality of entries has been stunning. I have finally whittled the podium places down to:- Equal 3rd Bronze placings go to Blazin for this amazing Canadian Pacific shot, you really have captured the feel of the mountain / valley theme beautifully. and equally to burnsys_bashes for this dark moody class 67 charter image on the ECML In joint 2nd Silver podium place - mfeets for this wonderful Tennessee Pass capture, I really get the "bottom of a steep pass" vibe with this one, well done. ..... .... and Blazin for this lovely bottom of the valley, low angle shot, of a tiny little train on a huge viaduct. I really like the use of an unusual train and route that you rarely see in competitions. Which leaves me just one more announcement to make which is:- This week's winner is maxtedrw for this gorgeous autumn capture of the Peak District hills, taken on (yet another rare for this comp route) the Leek & Manifold. Love the way you have focused on the wonderful landscape, with the railway almost being a secondary consideration. Just loved it. Over to you good sir lead us forward to Week 50 Many thanks to you all for your contributions I really appreciated them.
Cikey, I wasn't expecting that given how lovely the other entries were. Thank you. How about something seasonal like "Red and Green" - plenty of different ways of interpreting that one.
maxtedrw Loving your theme, are you ok with setting up the new thread or do require any guidance? I am just conscious of it is late Sunday evening and we don't have a Week 50 thread. Please feel free to shout if you need any help.
Cut and paste ? I should be OK with that and making the correct thread title. When will be the closing date ? All done and hopefully OK.
