The last few times I've run TSW5, Malwarebytes has blocked multiple attempts by TSW5 to connect to external servers by IP address. Why is TSW5 doing this? No valid reason exists for a commercial program like TSW to reach out to a destination by IP address. Various IP addresses and ports come up. As a professional software developer myself, I find this to be extremely poor software development at the least, and highly suspect behavior at worst. IP addresses include: 103.10.125.155, which maps to Hong Kong 147.75.193.63, which maps to the US What are you doing Dovetail?
File a Bug Report with support. Support : Dovetail Support And if you would be so kind to report here what they say to you. This is interesting, I use the Full paid version of Bitdefender, no issues like this.
Second ip could be Bidstack, I don't think it's Dovetail live. Bidstack doesn't work anyway their certificate server isn't authoritive a connection doesn't get established. First ip is Steam.
I just spotted this. None of my other Steam games were triggering this until this afternoon when a second game started triggering these alerts. So it's not TSW5.
Connection to Dovetail Live for Mastery, also DTG Telemetry (they know exactly what routes / locos people play). Of course these servers are not in Chatham but presumably rented. I've found at least four plugins: BidstackSDK Bidstack SDK Plugin for Unreal Engine DovetailLivePlugin Dovetail Live plugin source DTGTelemetry Writes analytic API calls to our UDP server DTGTelemetryHttps Writes analytic API calls to our telemetry server EPIC also has online subsystem plugins in the game. And then there is Denuvo DRM.
