We could start with the old line from Würzburg thru Zell up to Gemünden (Main) without leaving Bavaria ... several stations and then an extension across to Aschaffenburg ... which surely one day must reach that other town on the Main ... Frankfurt. We already have a turnout ready for Lohr ... such a minor improvement. Why not add something to Würzburg ? It deserves memorializing for suffering that senseless WII old city fire-bombing ... Not connecting W and A to Frkfrt am Main is as silly as leaving nothing new on the plate for Hamburg. Why not build out from Hannover to Braunschweig on the way to Berlin ? Why not Mannheim to Karlsruhe with tourist wagons to Heidelberg ? Where does Kaiserslautern take us ? Luxembourg ? At least Stuttgart has rail curiosities to rival Wuppertal ! A line from Frkfrt am M. to Mannheim would let us have tours to Darmstadt Marienhöhe. I would rather pay to get to Mainz from Frankfurt if i knew it would then go farther. We cannot do the World, so why not network what we have ? Why leave Rosenheim unconnected to München ? Will Innsbruck be left unconnected to Salzburg ? Why not add to what we have that has grown a bit stale ? Just a few kilometers north and south from Burgsinn couldeasilt breathe new life into the big TSW3 highspeed Würzburg to Kassel that maybe should have been only to Fulda with more rail life at each end ... i remember how we enjoyed our trip to Fulda... like my trip to Siegen ... some of my best German rail memories were short trips.
tried to fix typo "could easily" but the edit was rejected as Spam. Palsy in my hands makes this typing difficult. So i saved at Fulda. If i get to Kassel, i would get out and climb the stairs a ways up their, um, mountain. It would put that train into that bit of its world, no ?
