This Month's Case Study: (TG08) Colas Rail (66) We chat to the OP of this thread, TrainGeek08 to talk about the livery (below) '(TG08) Colas Rail (66)' that released last weekend . Why Colas Rail? TrainGeek08: "I think that the livery flows well on the Class 66, and that it was an easier livery to make as it is coming up to the end of the year when production starts to wind down ready for 2025." Did you experience any challenges whilst making the livery? TG08: "Yes, due to some bleeding issues on the locomotive (tut tut Rivet...), I had small black circles appearing on the side of the train when I did the headlight clusters. So, I kept having to go back over it in yellow so it was hidden but it hasn't worked (clearly)." Has this livery done as well as you expected on Creators Club? TG08: "Yes. At this early stage following release, it is currently sitting on 22 subscribers so it is not doing too badly at this moment in time. I do hope however, that it keeps getting subscribed to so I could have another Class 66 livery over 100 subscribers on Creators Club, but that will come with time (or so I hope)." How long did it take to make the livery? TG08: "It took me 1 hour to make the livery so I took my time and replicated the livery as best as I could." Was this the (second) best Class 66 livery you made this year after 66789? TG08: "No, I think that mantle belongs to 66708, because I took my time with that and spent more time focusing on the intricate details i.e. nameplates compared to this one. At least it wasn't a mess like the Fastline Freight livery I made earlier this year." Will this livery be used in any scenarios in 2025? TG08: "I can't tell you... maybe it might appear, maybe it won't..." Thanks to TrainGeek08 for taking the time to answer those burning questions for us . Railfan Location Reveal: In this new segment, I will announce the location of where my railfan scenario will take place each month following great feedback on the potential of me doing railfan-style scenarios. January's Location is... (as guessed correctly by tft#6439) ...Carlisle! TrainGeek08: "From what I've seen in testing, the scenario works really well with constant action from trains coming from the north and south on the WCML along with services to/from the Tyne Valley, Cumbrian Coast and Glasgow South Western Lines. The scenario plays for 20 minutes so pick your spot and take some pictures (someone told me that Avanti West Coast have sent out one of their special-liveried Pendolinos to look out for)." More will be revealed soon... Conclusion: Anyway, this is it then, hope you enjoyed this one, put your thoughts below, from me, TrainGeek08, I'll see you soon for another CC release announcement, enjoy the rest of your day and goodbye . Oh this is brilliant! I am loving the two-character role being played here. This is the first of your roadmaps that I've seen. Really funny, and really well done!
Thank you, the Q&A section is my favourite part to do because of that reason and it is interesting to do the two-character dialogue as if it was a community member asking me the questions . These are released once a month so do keep an eye on them as I release them around the midpoint of each month (10th-15th of each month).
