I’m very pleased to see further details of the rolling stock wales route announced today can DTG give us confirmation that 1. The class 150 will sound and feel like it should this time round and 2 that the audio of both truly reflects that of sprinters ?
Hope we get AP sounds akin to ap enhancement pack for ts classic and guard to driver 2 2 signal on departure
That’s amazing we are being treated to 2 loco’s. I wonder what this route is like. Hopefully YouTube has a cab ride somewhere. Sounds like it’s very Urban this one. Also as mentioned for the 150 sounds. I wonder if they will be brand new or just copy and paste from West Cornwall Local.
As regards cab rides obviously check YT then there's this offering from Locomaster Profiles: https://www.locomaster.co.uk/doubleo.htm Has abridged cab rides from Cardiff Central to Rhymney and Cardiff Tidal to Aberthaw via Barry which will give some idea. Sounds, well hope and pray DTG or whoever is doing the 150 and 153 have gone back to square one and nothing Rivet did will be referenced. Physics wise, the 150 should be quicker off the mark than the slightly heavier Class 153.
When it's ready. From the renders, it is only a shell of the rolling stock. That's a while stay so maybe mid-late 2025
Can't see it. Physics will have to be redone for suspension; found this out with WCML south.Rivet can't do suspension. Personally got no concerns about the 150 getting a proper revamp. Might get the new one layered on Cornwall, that would be nice to see. Done right;the Cardiff commuter could be great fun. What do you think Vern?
The class 153 is basically a class 155 "Super Sprinter" split in half, so I would expect the engine sounds to be quieter inside the cab, as the 155s (and subsequently 153s) had much better insulation than class 150s. Though not enough insulation to turn them into mobile bonfires, like the 175s. Sorry for being pedantic.
When I saw the word " locos" I thought, do they really mean a coach with an engine bolted to it? And a one handled EMU.
After the mess of WCMLS’ release, I hope that DTG have learnt their lesson. We’ll soon know when the route comes out, there are a lot of tell-tale signs when Rivet are involved with a route.
Oh yes, done correctly though still think they should have included Barry Island to give one further absolute terminus. However for the network idea to play nice, then the save game bug when chaining definitely needs to be sorted.
I haven't seen anything which suggests that? Where do you get that impression from? If it was why wouldn't they use their original class 150 instead of showing new renders?
Rod Hull simulator could be the "big" reveal on the 20th , British with an EMU. Possible route hopping onto the Bittern line.
The " Reveal Season " is losing its luster for me. We need something big to pick it up the rest of the way. Like a new US freight route!!
Me personally, I have my suspicions. Why would anyone choose to re use a train slated by the community. Never before has an existing train been re used and basically re built if we are to believe that. It's a short DMU only route with one arguably questionable reused train along with the addition of another quite similar model. I could be very wrong as I have said but my suspicions have been right before. I do welcome a Welsh route but I'd feel better about it if different traction was to feature.
The route uses those two trains. Why would they show those development renders if the train was in the game and just having a repaint? Even if it is reused as long as they have put the sounds and physics right I wouldn't be bothered.
It was revealed as a TSW5 DLC, so assuming TSW6 is released in September as per usual, I've a feeling it'll be about April time.
