Yes, this. Storage and RAM are too completely different things, although the latter might use part of the former for virtual memory purposes (sometimes called 'swap'). In the cases I've read about and seen for myself though, it appears that a resource is being allocated, e.g. a texture (?), which exhausts available video RAM which, depending on the architecture of the Xbox, is a different thing again.

finally - someone with my issues! I was wondering whether it’s an exclusive problem of mine.
But: tried turning the light dimmer to 100% and still no illumination… does it work for you when fully turned on?

May I ask what timetable reference was used for the route? June 2024, December 2023, May 2023 etc?

Same for me, albeit in the opposite direction (Euston to MK) - the brakes took an age to slow the train down even at 10. Conditions were dry, no slip due to ice or snow, and I didn't have the issue prior to the update. Frustrating.

If I understand the question correctly then yes, it does light up when the dimmer is on 100% and the switch between the dimmer and the headlight(shown below) is set to instrument and desk light. My problem was that the dimmer acted like a switch and did not adjust the light intensity as I expected a dimmer to do. I don't know what's prototypical on the real train though.

the inclusion of WT3116, Watford Jnc on Up Fast (removed in 2023) should set it in 2022 but if that was the case then why do the SN services terminate at Watford and none at Hemel?

I think this update has messed the 350 up to some degree. I've noticed two bugs with them that I'm pretty sure weren't there previously.

The first is that the traction motors occasionally sound really high pitched. No idea what's causing it.

Secondly, I noticed the bodyside door indicator lights were lit on both sides even when all doors were locked and the train was moving. I don't seem to recall this being an issue before.

I also randomly got a TPWS emergency brake application on the down slow approaching Wembley Central. I was travelling at 90 preparing to slow to 75, so I thought it maybe thought I was going too fast, however there was no difference in my technique compared to previous runs on this line which have been fine.

I'd also like to point out it took me 4(!) attempts to find a local service from Euston to Tring that didn't crash when leaving Euston. One of them even crashed before I set off!

I've been defending this route since the day it released, however it's becoming increasingly clear DTG's quality assurance is an utter farce.

On PS5 at least I'm finding the stability has improved after several runs in either direction although I am still being cautious and saving when I get close to known performance hit areas. On the overground I definitely notice lag around Harlesden.

Have to say I am loving the new Lioness timetable. The runs are great for going end to end, trying to stay on time and stop accurately while enjoying the improved AI trains and watching our for the odd adverse signal.

That could be the sound glitching, or squelching as I call it, when the whole game pauses and stutters. Really distorts any traction sound, particularly electric and over on WCMLoS has even put me off going on there and using the 87.

Unfortunately, I never played Max Payne before (remember it when it came out on the original Playstation though) or heard the voice - guess I've got some research to do :D

I know this is no consolation; but I ran the same scenario using Fawx's TT mod from the WCMLS EP and it had no issues whatsoever. I was able to reproduce this bunch up of services at H&W when using DTG's timetable and seeing as though Fawx helped out with DTG's timetable...I think this is fixable

The display cannot under any circumstances have anything to do with the crashes. The specifications of the monitor don't mean anything; the console can learn the details of the display through HDMI and it'll only send what the TV can support. Keep in mind that the output resolution is not necessarily the internal resolution. TSW has the option on console of a 4K and HD mode. Unlike most games, selecting HD does not improve performance despite the lower resolution. Even on a 1080p screen you should pick the 4K mode, partly because there is no performance downgrade, partly because the 1080p mode is clearly running at 900p or less and is horribly ugly, and because the Xbox Series X will/should use supersampling to create a smoother 1080p image by downsampling from 4K.
I was the one who brought up storage space, as a possible reason (although I doubt it's actually the reason for the crashes happening in this case). The reason I brought it up is because both OS X and Windows have issues when they don't have enough spaces for temporary files and crashes. It's possible to brick Mac computers this way, and I assume it's the same for Windows too. As the Xbox One and Series consoles run on a heavily modified version of Windows, there is a vague possibility that this could be a contributing factor. Based on what was said in replies to my post, I guess not.

Of all the existing bugs the suicidal passengers at Harrow is definitely the top priority to fix IMV as it's not the 1 in a million random NPC behaviour that's hard to 100% squash due to being hard to replicate. Before this update I'd never had this on any route on TSW.

It's clearly linked to one area of the route likely due to more rush hour passengers at this location with the extra 710 services.

It's now spoilt several express runs during rush hour in either a 350 or 390 (and a free roam run I did in a Class 87).

I agree the passenger issue and level crossing issues that are showing ap across DLC need fixing. Personally I don’t mind running through a passenger or a car. In my head I still know it’s a game, but it’s a total immersion breaker and really ruins an otherwise good run.

My other priority it to get the AWS fixed. A sudden alarm when you can see green ahead is also an immersion breaker.

At Cheddington there is a little building to wait in which has all its windows blackened. It seems odd and a similar building opposite the tracks (see screenshot) has normal translucent windows:

    cheddington.jpeg

I'm guessing it's the default texture they use elsewhere for buildings without an interior.

Anyone else finding it impossible to complete a service at Euston, because all traffic is held at red signals?

Just had a run in a 350 both as a driver and conductor. Ran smoothly with no hitch, also combined with a fresh download of all updated mods on TS community. It’s great there now is a good amount of AI services, especially in peak hours and a nice touch to the pendo with the speedset shortcut!

Only issue I found whilst playing as a conductor is that you still can’t operate the doors from the cabs. You can only buzz the driver. To elaborate further, I have to open and shut the doors from the saloon and buzz the driver from the cab which is abit stupid/pointless if you ask me. Abit of a half fix, especially for a simulator.

Was actually looking forward to working the train properly this time as per reality. Post update, my candid level of judgement has fallen foul

Issues that I have are on the 350, if the guard puts the door key in, in one of the cabs, the actual key doesn't show up anymore. The keyhole turns correctly but no key is in the keyhole.

On the cab door windows, the drivers side door, when you pull the window down, the catch goes the wrong way. upload_2024-12-16_18-10-12.png

Also, clicking the emergency stop button on the guards side of the cab, opens the doors to the passenger cabin.

Guard panel key is no longer turns smoothly which is just an unnecessary downgrade.

The winter survey mentioned a feature where you earned extra points for this so it's possible in future.

The 350 stopping from 60 MPH in 220 metres - that doesn’t seem right to me.
For a Class 150 or 158 the optimum stopping distance from 75 MPH was around 800 metres.

Dtg got feedback from Daisy, who also did the sound recordings that the 350 braking is indeed strong and even sent some data and reference material to prove it. It is a modern unit after all so it might be strong who knows

Honestly, some people will do anything to avoid buying a ticket.
DTG really ought to select better role models for their NPCs. :D

Yeah I'm also assuming that requires quite a high brake setting so not one you'd normally use if you want to give passengers a smooth ride into the station. It might be a demonstration how good it is perhaps if you needed to stop quickly due to signals or incident on the track. Will have to test it out.

On the suicidal passengers at Harrow, I didn't see that in the patch notes but if it helps with finding a fix I was coming into Harrow slow enough one time to see that the NPC walks across the tracks and then spawns out. So it seems like instead of going to the bridge to exit he's just walking across the tracks.

On neutral sections - definitely working on the 710 and 350 on the down slow from Milton Keynes as well as Watford DC where they've always worked. There was one that seemed to work on the up fast using a Class 87 but can't remember where as it was dark. Haven't noticed them in other places or with the 390 yet.

Just tried running 1R00 (post update) to test whether it was properly optimised and I could actually complete a run. Short answer? No. Crashed out at South Kenton heading to Euston.

My platform is the Series S, which I know is suffering a bit compared to the likes of the X and PS5, but this is getting old now.

I know it wasn’t in the release notes so I shouldn’t have raised my hopes, but very disappointed that something as fundamental as the incorrect AWS ramps that are triggering on green has not been addressed yet (these are not for speed reductions). It’s a real immersion killer when you’re trying to drive hudless.

Spot on. I’m aware my Series S isn’t the best performance wise, but why this route simply cannot run is anyone’s guess. It’s the only route which fails.
