Hi does anyone know if the new model LNER class trains will be created and added into the game? just came across it online and thought I’d ask to see if it’s something that’s eventually gonna happen in the near future. And would there be much of a big difference to the drivers cab of the new one.

I hope not. They're ugly things.

Besides, they'll likely never create another LNER route.

They don't exist in real life yet so won't be coming to the game right now. There's no physical reference material... These are the CAF units destined to replace the remaining Class 91 + Mk4 sets.

I kinda feel like they should make longer routes for the long distance passenger trains but as they said a while ago too many people complained about it apparently but also a multiplayer system aswel would be amazing too where a curtain amount of people per route can play a route together just so it doesn’t feel lonely driving on ya own because ya don’t really see the AI ones much when your driving.

If you want them, post it in Suggestions.

Otherwise the only train I want to see for the ECML is the great and glorious Deltic.

I don't mind that design. It'll probably change somewhat anyway. I mean, have a look at this uncanny valley 801. upload_2024-12-16_10-9-36.png

Touché. Deltic has of course been posted many times, along with the Class 91 and a Valenta HST. :)

Because that's how they usually work.

The 397s look better. Then again, that's probably down to the livery more than anything.

I would hope NOT before the 91, rather than skipping to their bland CAF replacement. Personally the 196-7 is better looking than the Nova sets imo. They're certainly unique as far as ugly goes, not just derivatively bland like every iteration of the Hitachi becomes, ever more.

Bloody hell! We haven't even seen them in real life yet, so no idea how DTG would go about getting them in game anytime soon.

The problem with the Deltic is timing.
They were out of service by 1982, and were sidelined before that, so you'd have to make a 1970s route to really have them in any meaningful role. Yet the younger player base has loudly complained they do NOT want a 1970s route sadly.

If there's a route set in the 1970s on the ECML then the Deltic should definitely be included.

Maybe you could suggest a segment of the ECML to do for the Deltic to run on?

Or can they fit onto an existing older route like PFR or SOS to give them some life? If they only did "a few times" would that be enough to include them there and at least see it in game? The 1958 or 1960 dates on those routes is a lot closer to the 1962 introduction date of those than a modern route on the ECML we have in game. Rochester from 2020 is just not the same Rochester from 1962, but at least the PFR or SOS would put them with stock and stations that would resemble what the Deltics would have run on. (In 1962, the stations on Peak Forest would still look basically the same and steam engines would still be a thing)

They got the 801s into TS2012 I think before they even got their TOPS classification

It was TS2015. The classifications were known long before then.

No, TS2012, when it was the Hitatchi Super Express.

They're not really the 801s though. It was one of the concept designs, after they got rid of the power cars. At this point Hitachi had not yet won the IEP contract.

Basically what the OP's asking for though.
