Would love ability to set up gsmr to network and register it.

DB BR 101 Expert by TSG has it & the ICE1 mod has this option too. If this would be a basic feature it would be so nice!

More GSMR stuff would be cool - but I'd need a tutorial. I don't really understand it, other than clicking the on/off button and it registers itself!

We need to get GSMR working in more locos first though perhaps.

    For starters,
    66
    385
43 - DTG Liam is GSMR coming in the remaster please?

    Sure there are others too.

I think what you have to do is register with the signal. The signals have numbers and this is something I only found out as fascinated by the stuff: you put the headcode in then last 3 digits of signal I believe

That may partially explain why I had showing on the 385 TMS earlier something like 1R36LA - maybe the last bit - LA - was the start of a signal number and something was going awry

This is something that would be great to see, it would make playing that little bit more fun

Yep. I love reading all the rulebook stuff which drivers have during training. Baffles my mind but fascinating stuff. Just shows why they get paid big bucks with everything.

    Makes you appreciate it more.

I genuinely for example didn't know that a driver has to set the DRA when taking over from another service or have it set. I thought it only applied to signals at danger.

It would add more depth wouldn't it. It's quite cool.

I think the purpose of setting DRA when leaving a service IRL or turning it off when taking over a service IRL is in case the starter signal is at danger. Just another safety check I suppose.

Didn't realise the rulebooks were publicly accessible - maybe worth a look at some point.

Will be on the HST and 166. The GWE 66 uses the ECML 66 base now so if that has GSM-R the GWE one will have it too.

For anyone interested in more about the gsmr radio:

The video goes into registering and general regulations. Find it fascinating.
