    Hello,

BR101 Expert: Is it possible to get the Cab Car pushed by two 101?

I tried it a few times with the formation designer but I only get one 101 working.
So is it possible and how?
    Thanks for helping:D

I don't think that works. there is either only a Wendezug setting or a double loco setting, but not both at the same time

No. You can only control one remote loco.

ZWS doesn't support it. You'd need to shut off ZxS on one of the BR 101's. Similarly if you have two BR 101's and want to run them in ZDS but there is a cab car in the formation you need to flip the ZWS breaker and shut off the battery in the cab of the cab car, otherwise the cab car will interfere with the signal.

Thanks for the Information. When you put two 218's behind the Expert Cab Car, both push it.
So I thought, it works with the 101 as well

That's not true to reality on the 218 then. You should only be able to control one of them from the cab car as well.

The BR 218 doesn't use the "expert jumper cable" like the BR 101, IC and cab car Expert vehicles do. That means the cab car falls back to compatibility mode and uses the standard DTG German jumper cable which does not have as much bandwidth (in a sense) to support Expert features like this. The only way to solve this would be to implement some Expert logic to the BR 218, and that is a huge amount of work and not something that is planned (that might change in the future but don't expect it).

It's the same reason why the cab car doesn't show all of the correct fault/status light indicators (the ones above the windshield) when pushed by a BR 218. That requires the BR 218 to have the Expert cable because the basic jumper cable simply does not have room for such states like 40, Motor, Getriebe/Wendegetriebe, Lastabwurf, Wassermangel, ALTÜ Alarm etc
