I recently created a masterlist thread for Great Western Express shortly before the announcement of this remaster. Many of the suggested items were confirmed as included in the project. For this reason I thought I'd create similar threads for other UK routes in order to provide resources for any future remaster projects, starting with Tees Valley Line. As I am not local and have limited knowledge of the area, I am starting with a minimal list that hopefully others can help in expanding over time. Let's begin.... 1. Expanded AI timetable making use of the Class 47 for extra freight services and express trains on ECML at Darlington. 2. Update to timetable to include the Class 142 Pacer. 3. Class 56 DLC for additional freight services. 4. Scenery enhancements across the route. 5. Airport activity around Tees Valley Airport. 6. Class 47 and WCL Class 37 added for additional traffic. 7. Industrial chimneys require smoke effects. I will edit this post from time to time with other items suggested.
I feel this is the start of more route remasters with tsw routes getting the treatment. I think and hope we will get more routes which are revamped
Although a nice thought, this is outside the scope of a remaster and requires a full rebuild which is not the subject of this thread.
Class 58s operated much further south than Tees Valley and are therefore not appropriate. However the 56 Grids are a better shout.
Great idea! The Tees Valley Line was part of the original Stockton and Darlington Railway. The world first public railway! It is going to celebrate its 200th anniversary next year!
DTG like to cash in on anniversaries, that's why we got Flying Scotsman and Thomas the Tank Engine. Can't see them missing out the opportunity to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the first public main line railway in the world.
Make the Class 40 and Class 45 from BR Heavy Freight Pack, the Class 52 and Class 47 from West Somerset Railway (like in Cargo Line Petroleum), and the Class 37 from West Cornwall Local also substitute and playable. Add smoke from industry chimneys like on Blackpool Branches.
Because it is set in 1989, the Class 37 and 47 are OK but the 40, 45 and 52 rarely opened here and were withdrawn by this time. Also agree with smoke from industrial chimneys.
