Creation Sharing Route Köln - Düsseldorf / Opladen

now most of you might already know of this, but I've deciced to give it it's own thread so that it is a bit more organized I've been working on this route for about 2-3 months now and its finally starting to get to an end, the whole Rail Network has been built and Signalisation from Düsseldorf Benrath until Köln Hbf and Opladen until Köln Hbf has been fully built, I have built this route to be as similar to real life as possible, and am planning to give it a timtable made by train drivers on the route, so that you get full immersion, the route will include a timetable, which will include, EC, IC, ICE, FLX, RE, S Bahn, Shunting in Düsseldorf Reisholz, and Opladen Bf , ECS (stock drives from KDA to Düsseldorf and vice versa aswell as Deutzer Feld to the Stations in Köln and vice versa) and if possible I'll add freight aswell The route is set at the time where there was still no 4th track in Leverkusen, that is because I did not find enough references to happily rebuild it. please note most of what you see is still a heavy work in progress, and please note that Route ends in Opladen and that Solingen / Haan Gruiten will be removed from the KML

will the Velaro also have services there (timetable)? also, really excited (constantly repeating myself) hope it finishes well!

Looks awesome, have been following your progress for quite some time. Im especially hyped for the desiro HC .

And with the inclusion Opladen, this means well have the infamous Bender in game

 

That's looking epic so far mate you definitely need to be onboard as a 3rd party so the rest of the community can enjoy the passion your putting into to this

 

This looks great. I've spent some time in Opladen -- do you plan to include the station as a playable location?

 

Its a Wishlist Route, played a Lots of time in TSC and Zusi. I Hope it will coming to the TSW.

 

Totally agree! I as a console player would be ready to pay double the price of a regular dtg route for this masterpiece...

Hmm Opladen. Da wird wohl auch Bender mit im Spiel sein. Endlich ein Ort, der der BR 187 einen sinnvollen Zweck verleiht.
Bin echt gespannt auf die Strecke. Sieht auf jeden fall vielversprechend aus, was bisher zu sehen ist.

and you said DB to the 462, which is wrong, as said, it's operated by RRX

And if it is pay ware how much will it cost?

Haven't got a German route in a while but if this one ends up being released, definitely interested.
Especially as so much going on at the southern end of the route.

 

I think this explains a lot why many route authors abruptly fell silent - apparently, they were taken under the wing of DTG to release routes officially)

 

I wouldn't say for all cases, there will be a fair few who just gave up.

But it is a good way for developers to find new people to work with.

 

I mean, if this project were to be dead then the creator could've just said so

 

Still waiting for the Velaro D, hopefully It will be revealed eventually and not fall into the purgatory with the BR 420.

 

No one even says that this project get mentioned in the season of reveals. Building the route surely takes alot of time. So please y'all be patient.

I know I’ve gone silent for a bit, but all for good reason, there is not much I can say now unfortunately except that the route is not Dead, until this day I am working very hard to create a route of the standard you all know and love for TSW, when the time is appropriate more information will come to light.

He can't talk about it. He is under an NDA

 

So the same situation is happening as the NLL/Mildmay Line? Are we waiting for the official announcement of the Koln - Düsseldorf route? (although Koln - Wuppertal would be better for a link of routes)

 

All of these routes started as editor projects. Under NDA they most likely will be listed as 3rd party releases or maybe as a 2nd Party for dtg releases.
A full project including a new loco made without much help from Dtg is more or less guaranteed to be a 3rd party release.
So yes we are waiting for a similar announce like Mildmayline, but the one we have on the roadmap is a official DTG route. They arent allowey to hide the 3rd party tag responsible for a route so no tag means its DTG.
