I Have Owned This Game For Awhile But I Am Very Disappointed That we always have to pay for the add ons i feel like i have been cheated if we have bought the game we should not have to pay for the add-ons we should just get them for free they charge way to much for the add-ons
The world is so cruel. Why don't the banks just print a lot of money and give it away so we can all buy more and ecomony will bloom and everyone would be happy. My boss wants me to work for my money, but I could play Train Sims all day. Unfair. He could just give me the money.
Each DLC takes months for a team to put together. Add in surveys and site visits to get details for correct modelling and that's why most routes take 6 months plus. You expect that work effort to be free?? I don't work for free, I don't expect any other business or personnel does either.
No. Not how it works I am afraid. Add Ons take time, money, effort and manpower to develop and need to generate a revenue to pay for all of this. You can't go through life expecting everything to be for free. How would a company continue by making free content and having no revenue? So no, we shouldn't get everything for free. Have some common sense.
You created your account two years ago to finally make your first post today for this nonsense ? Phew what an achievement ! It’s the same reasoning as people asking for free public transport, how are you going to pay the employees ? Are you willing to pay more taxes instead ? Anyway not everything is free and yes, a hobby costs money. DTG isn’t doing in charity.
Which version of the game do you own? If you got the paid version, then you got routes with the game, if you want more then you have to pay. Why don't you do like a lot of players on here, wait for a sale and buy them then?
To be fair to the OP, I do think some free content for TS and TSW every once in a while would be appreciated. They've done it before with Train Simulator - the recent P42DC Anniversary Pack was free when it was launched, and in the TS2016 days they ran the TS Rewards programme which gave out free content, some of which can't be obtained today. Similarly, the French DLC for both games was briefly made free a few years ago. I think there is a market for low-effort packs that are free. The loco add-on bundles could easily be free, especially the ones that just have reused content.
Sherman Hill is currently free OP. See the announcements thread (I think) or live article thread or something for a link
Yes, I noticed that, but I thought it was a glitch as it wasn't showing properly on the store pages. That may be because I already have it though.
PseudoStalker mentioned there is a glitch on steam on the TSW5 variant. I got it fine on PS5 though, so must depend what platform
Xbox thing coming next year - see https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/free-sherman-hill
