Out of the twenty days of reveals. What reveal would you have put as the grand reveal on December 20th, and why?

Manchester airport commuter,if the timetable is good, it'll be like a mini BML.
Runner up 86, another excellent locomotive with new coaches.
    How about your choice Antony?

    JT’s 86 for certain.

Also looking forward to the Welsh route, that’s a probable day 1 purchase.

TSG’s new route also looks great. I would have preferred a Swiss Krokodil (I live in Oerlikon where the Swiss ones were built and there is one parked at the end of my road), but I’ll take the Austrian one.

So plenty for me in the reveals. To be honest, there a lot coming up that I’m excited for. Just not the big reveal….But only because I want Ivor the Engine instead :)

    Thats a toughie.
They were all good to be honest.
I think I would have gone with the 86 but those wise ones of the community already knew it was going to be an 86 so I can se why that wasn used. So I can understand why Dovetail went with Thomas. I think to get the liscene was a big thing for them.

    Have to admit,
I went to Wikipedia to update myself with Thomas.
Missed it completely on TV,was aware of illustrated books as a child.
Alec Baldwin,Ringo Star, pierce brosnon all narrated amongst others.
Let's see if Dovetail can get Ringo doing the storyline for the add on.
Happy for those that like the franchise.

To be honest most of the stuff we already knew was coming so i'd go for my favourite new announcement/teaser which is the DRS Class 20 that was a nice surprise I didn't know was coming. Class 86, NLL, Mittenwaldbahn, Tadami and the Dutch route are all good sounding add-ons too

TSG’s Route update. That one was the most exciting for me. Route looks incredible.

    Mittenwald, definitely.

I will say this about the Big Reveal controversy- everything else this month has just been a little more detail or some additional screenshots for things we already knew were coming. They're all in the November roadmap. Thomas is the one thing which has been a complete surprise.

Thought my Christmas rendition would be apropos:

On the last day of Christmas dtg brought to me "one bag of rubbish", "whole community wailing", "dtg matt a flailing", "community manager's in tears", "multiple people a rightly complaining", and a "Thomas we didn't need"

(Yes I know I missed some points but you get the gist. If anyone knows a better one be sure to let me know"

You mean what fictional thing that didn't happen would you have talked about?
Because you can't "reveal" something that you don't have, and they revealed what they're working on.
So..... what you're really asking is "what imaginary project would you rather have that they're not doing?"

Joint tie between the JT 86 and Mittenwald.

Whatever your views on Thomas, that should not have been it.

Definitely the apocryphal lump of coal.

The 86 & MKIIs by a country mile.

Though, I were hoping for the Grand reveal to be a even grander than that (I know a big ask) and be something in the core, proper steam physics would be nice, but even something more minor that would still appeal to the majority of the existing customer base and make the game better for everyone, no matter their specific area of interest.

The 86 was probably the best reveal with MK2 coaches I'm looking forward to that

I was very happy about the Metrolink F59PHR, it’s a wonderful locomotive that’ll really complete the Metrolink routes.

(Mittenwaldbahn is my honorable mention because it looked so dang GOOD!)

The Class 86 and MK2 coaches by some distance. Definitely looking forward to it coming to TSW.

The big reveal for me was the North London Line. All went a bit downhill from there.

Probably a tie up between Mittenwaldbahn or Mildmay Line for me.

Mittenwaldbahn and the Br111 timetable for Frankfurt were out of interest for me; the British stuff is simply something to be jealous about when you’re not interested in British trains :D

Same here. One has been and the other will be, day one purchase.

Overall I must say I enjoyed them a lot. Including the last reveal. For those that we have little ones around, it is nice.

In my opinion, the grand reveal wouldn't have worked if it was the Milday Line or the 86, or indeed any of the reveals that preceded yesterday's, since they are just regular DLC. The grand reveal needed to be something different, and, regardless of the reception, Thomas was the only one that was different.

If we were not limited to the 20 reveals, then I would go for a core feature or something, but DTG don't do those at Christmas.

Mostly for me it's NLL (mostly because of the CL378, kek), but because of the neutered length of the route, I choose Manchester Commuter)

    P. S. I have a special love for the CL86, despite the fact that I am known here as an ardent lover of modern rolling stock)

I can't really choose between Mittenwald, the class 86 or the Cardiff route as all of those I am excited for. Most of the other reveals were decent although not revealing a great deal we didn't know about.

I don't think any of these would really qualify as a "grand reveal".

I think if i had to pick it would be Mildmay because it's a new, previously unannounced route with a new train, and i'm partial to urban settings. Cardiff commuter would be runner-up, Dutch route third place for me. Mittenwaldbahn looks great as well.

For as much as i don't personally like it, none of the other offerings had nearly as much impact as what DTG chose lmao.

I would have put the JT86 and MkII Coffins as the big reveal, yeah a lot of us already figured it out (Heck I called it well before WCMLoS even released) but with a fair few screenshots of what they've got would have easily won folks over and kept us happy.

Thomas, fk sake, whoever decided that was the best grand reveal for the current fanbase needs their head examining (and a P45 while they're at it).

The F59PHR of course. It was one of only 2 North American reveals and the only one I was surprised to see.
