I am a bit intrigued by the settings part. This will be worth the buy simply for the fact that I own none of these routes listed in the package, the first in a long while. Usually, I’ll own one, some or nearly all of them. But this is good.
Well I'm all for the visual enhancement stuff, expecially if this means we'll be able to use it in the screenshot competitions too.
Hi, and thanks for the new near update and new features; does these graphics features are a challenger of the already existing third party soft RWE pro (Rail Works Enhancer) please? Or RWE have more specifics graphics features to tweak than the TS2020 embedded?
Wow, so I was just expecting this to just be a route bundle with little to no fixes like the TS 2XXX releases usually are, but THANK GOD YOU CAN TURN OFF THE AI IN QUICKDRIVE!!! No more AI derailments cutting your quickdrive session short!
Please tell me that the new lighting and sun stuff won't screw with the AP Sky and Weather pack. I mean if it's all toggleable it won't really be a problem
Lol yeah knowing them and their technical wizardry they'll probably have it all worked out. That or it'll be compatible without an update to the AP pack since all the settings seem to do is apply a filter of sorts. The only exemption are the lighting and sun settings, but those can probably just be set to the default.
We know that train sim world is on consoles any chance of having train simulator 2020 on consoles with the same routes on train simulator 2020 or is it not possible to do it on consoles just curious that's all
Wow!! DTG is really celebrating the end of 2019 and the intro of 2020 early!! First it launched TSW 2020, now the announcement is Train Simulator 2020!!!
Taken from Wikipedia and google: Madden NFL 20 is an American football video game based on the National Football League (NFL), developed by EA Tiburon and published by Electronic Arts. The latest installment in the long-running Madden NFL series, the game was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows on August 2, 2019 The global NBA 2K20 release date is September 6th. This is the release date for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch FIFA 20 is an upcoming football simulation video game published by Electronic Arts as part of the FIFA series.[2] It is the 27th installment in the FIFA series, and is set to be released on 27 September 2019 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.[3] 2K has officially announced WWE 2K20, which is due for release on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC So not the earliest 2020 release, but not unusual
It's nice to see there's no optimization improvements for TS2020 like DirectX 11. I really like 15fps. Couldn't get enough of it. Spoiler But seriously, you know the game is badly made when Portal 2, a much more visually demanding game, runs at a higher framerate at higher settings with more going on in the game. And my computer isn't even bad! With a new CPU it would probably play GTA5. Come on Dovetail.
Fifa 20 is based on the 2019 / 2020 Football season, which is why it's called Fifa 20 (I'm guessing the same for Madden, but don't know that much about American Football )
The core software is very old, rebuilds could make visuals much nicer but new shaders and different materials etc would require all of the content you own would need to be reverse engineered. That would cost somebody a lot of time, which in turn would cost a lot of money too.
Portal 2 is almost as old as Train Simulator though. It runs perfectly, and I'd be surprised if it's been reverse engineered recently.
Both games will not see any major core updates until this time next year, so it makes sense to have the 2020 suffix. Otherwise, they would be known as "last years' games" from Jan-Aug.
I find the choice of including the N Line as the bundled US route to be rather unusual, but I suppose its a good contrast to the heavy mainline action of the other routes. Here's to hoping the Capitol Corridor comes at some point.
The football season started in July/August... so you're saying they released it two months late? Nah, in almost all "series cases" these things come out between August and October
August - October is the period where most gaming companies release and re-release their biggest titles, that's an industry standard.
I think so too. I just wish they would change the "roles" of each country's routes around, if that makes sense. Maybe give the UK the slow paced freight line and the U.S. the fast paced main line for a change. I honestly find those really slow American routes boring to no end.
Are we getting those three routes as well with the upgrade program of Train Simulator 2020 or just the program? If you want the routes and to have to purchase as well besides the upgrade of the program. John
Your program will update automatically The bundle they advertise is a new sales pack so if you want those routes then it may be cheaper to buy them as the bundle. I only buy UK routes so it probably won't save me anything
Multicore processor support and a DirectX12 update are top of my wishlist. These would significantly enhance the performance of TS, currently it gives even my i7 7700k @ 4.7GHz and factory overclocked GTX 1080 a run for their money on some routes!
They don't make the same routes for both games. In TSW, any route that is in both games is a remake of one from the Kuju/RSDL/RSC days. They are making routes for TSW, but that's for another thread.
The update seems to be pushed to Steam already to TS2020 The core update is about 52mb large, if you own Southampton the update is about 580mb large.
For me, the scenario editor worked well, but I kept having more and more difficulty uploading my scenarios. Something like a year or so I quit trying and stopped making scenarios for TS. I stopped running TS as well, but will take a look at this 2020 edition.
I doubt it as TS2020 is based on driving and there is a lot more to it than a console can manage - which is why TSW was created with all different types of controllers in mind Peter
