since the current brighton mainline is quite outdated. By any chance has anybody made a more modern/enhanced ish brighton mainline route for TSC?
The real answer of course is "No, there isn't a tweaked version available" Whether somebody's working on, thinking of working on, worked on a little bit....etc is irrelevant.
ATS revamp has been shown off on stream... it´s definitly coming at some point. I´m really looking forward to it, because the original is so outdated now. There are also plans to link it up with Kings Cross - Kings Lynn and the AP Midland Mainline via the Thameslink tunnel at some point. But that´s very far in the future and not fully confirmed.
This is a discussion thread. Will you intervene in the BLS thread by pointing out the question was if anyone had purchased the route, which is a closed yes/no question. Instead they are discussing the route. Shame.
If you'd like me to, sure...happy to oblige. But the initial post in that thread wasn't a question, but an invitation..."Any thoughts?"
There is the the extension to Reigate which I think was the last change https://store.steampowered.com/app/1637250/TS_Marketplace_London__Brighton_Reigate_Scenario_Pack/ Although shown as a Scenario pack it also includes the route from Redhill to Reigate When released at £7.99 it got negative reviews but for £2.39 its worth adding. And there is Danny's South London to Brighton merge on the Workshop https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=341200017
there is a... reigate extension? I am suprise that it wasn't even include in the base Brighton Mainline route since its just 1 staiton, heck they even included Norwood Junction. And I had already downloaded the merge for South London and brighton mainline once i got my hands on south london. Any recent update as to that? If there is one in the making then I am really looking forward to that.
Is the proposed update to correct errors in the original route, or to bring it up-to-date since the original route is set in 2012 and the real world has moved on? I've always thought the original route was pretty decent, though I'm not familiar with it IRL.
It's still nice to know something's on the way isn't it? What the hell is wrong with you? Placed on ignore. Sick of toxicity in here.
i'd imagine is bring it up to date. My most memorable spot that needs updating is Gatwick Airport which is missing a platform compared to current time and battersea power station where the track to south london should've been striped but i think its still there?
The biggest problem with a route update is making some types of train redundant. If you made the route set in 2020 then all the trains which add interest would be gone Mk1 Emus, Mainline and Suburban, would be scrapped The Mk2s on the Gatwick Express would all be scrapped & the Class 73s either scrapped/rebuilt or still in freight use. The Class 460s that replaced them have also been scrapped/reformed. The 319s & 442s have also been scrapped Now all the trains on the Brighton line are either Electrostars or Class 700s A very boring railway
The Brighton Main Line upgrade on ATS will probably require you to have a subscription to download. Subscription is 32.99
oh yea you're right- Guess I cant have both cakes. (Cuz i want a modern brighton mainline but run them with old stock and new stock. Or something during the transiting period between old and new trains). I wish I have an skull emoji i can use cuz thats just messed up- if its free to download after subscription then maybe. Its really not worth it... subscription is horrible.
