Has any progress been made on getting the lnwr licence for the 350, or is it definitely not happening? There was lots of discussion about it during september but i’ve not heard a word since then

I guess that won't happen anytime soon, or maybe ever
but dtg is clearly not concerned with that but with a cartoon train for kids

    priorities...

I guess the priority is something new over pointlessly chasing a dead licencing agreement for months on end.

If LNWR flat out refuse to comply, why shouldn't DTG move on?

Matt P said in previous roadmap streams that its unlikely to change until ownership of LNWR changes.

DTG had/have an open line of communication, but the current license holder has said no.

What's the problem? The community did the job.
And a very good job actually

Thomas has nothing to do with DTG not getting the LNWR license. The same people looking at acquiring the license don't even work on the development side of things.

Unless you’re a console player and don’t have access to the mod.

Any progress on this DTG Matt

    - Licenses cost money.
    - Everybody forgets old routes when the next one releases.

    DTG way of thinking:
"PC players have mods, so we don't need to bother."

Setting midnight's cynicism aside for a moment...

Still waiting an update from the license holder. Nothing we can do to speed it up i'm afraid. If the situation changes, we'll update the stock accordingly.

    Matt.

    With the greatest respect,

With all the broken promises and backtracking over the years, it's hard not to take everything DTG says with a pinch of salt.

I expect the LNWR license to be thrown on the scrapheap, along with GWR and steam traction, but I really do hope that you'll prove me wrong.

Be kind and at least he is updating us, it is much difficult than it seems to us, no easy thing licences these days. They are trying very hard for it. They know us COnsole players don't have mods for it. Hopefully we get a good outcome. LNWR Branding is missing a lot from the route tbh. Takes the immersion out so I am standing with patience and I believe you can do it DTG Matt !

It’s still nice to hear that you guys are looking into it though. So that is much appreciated.

Obviously it’s never certain till it’s certain. But would you guys consider making the other 2 variants of the Lnwr 350 liveries if dtg do manage to get the licence? Even if as a pay-ware dlc akin to the likes of engineering express?
