Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope you enjoy yourselves and feast on Christmas food. Do feel free to write what gifts you got today.
Merry Christmas to you and hope you Christmas has been merry and bright. And hope the same for everyone else, I know it has been a great Christmas for me.
Merry Christmas to you as well! Santa (my wife) treated me very well this year! I got some new socks, slippers, a train ornament for the tree, the box set of the original Thrawn Trilogy of books, a hardcover copy of Star Wars: The Rise & Fall of the Galactic Empire, and a large box full of Japanese snacks from Japanese Taste.
Can't go wrong with a pair of socks. The books sounds interesting. Nice box of tasty snacks. Excellent gifts.
Happy Holidays to you! Things went super well for the holiday shift as it was basically just quiet for 7 hours. Got gifted some steam games from my girlfriend so overall, one the best holidays I've had. Hope it was as good for yall as it was for me
Well-done for having a quiet shift and working on Christmas day. Good on the girlfriend to get you steam games. I've had a good Christmas Thankyou.
I don't know if you're a Star Wars fan or not, but they deff seem worth a read. I've only listened to the first book of the Thrawn Trilogy (Heir to the Empire) on Audible, and it was pretty good. The trilogy isn't canon anymore, having been replaced by two new trilogies featuring the character Thrawn, but they were written during the time between Jedi and Phantom Menace when people didn't really know if Star Wars was going to feature again on either small or large screens. If you watch any of the current Star Wars media (Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Book of Boba Fett, etc.), it all pulls pretty heavily from those original books. The Rise & Fall of the Empire book I started reading at a Barnes & Noble a couple of months ago, and read pretty far into it before adding it to my wish list. It's written from the point of view of an in-universe historian going over the events of the Star Wars galaxy leading up to the Rise of Skywalker film. Of course my stack of books "to be read" keeps growing and not shrinking; thank god we're house shopping in a couple of months, I need more book shelves lol.
