I have attempted to add the Flixtrain to my Cologne timetable but it just won't work. The ICE T worked like a charm. But with the Flixtrain, the layer does not simulate and with PIE, it crashes in the TSW 4 editor while the TSW 5 editor does not show any trains in PIE (not even static stock). Are there some secret tricks necessary to get the Flixtrain to work?
IN TSW 5 have you forced it to play with incomplete data before starting the PIE? ts2.dbg.ForceTimetableStartWithIncompleteData 1
It didn't even work with static stock and that should appear always, shouldn't it? Can certainly try though.
Even months later, the problem persists. That means, unfortunately, that I cannot add the Flixtrain to my timetables. Has anyone here so far successfully included the Flixtrain in a timetable and simulated it successfully with the Flixtrain actually appearing in the game afterwards?
I have now added a few Flixtrain services on my MSB timetable. They simulate and appear fine (in PIE). I had issues with electrification on a small part of the route, so I had to copy the RVD file and remove the electrification requirements from my copy. I haven't tried cooking and packing yet, but since they do appear in PIE I guess all will be fine. Edit: the electrification issue seems to affect most TSW3+ stock, but copying and modifying the RVD's of the affected locos fixes it. I do get a compilation error when trying to compile a service with electrification issues, so if you don't get these I guess you're experiencing a different issue.
I think I found the solution. My timetable asset was created in the TSW 4 editor and has been working fine with all rolling stock but not with the Flixtrain that just won't appear. Once I create a timetable asset in the TSW 5 editor with otherwise identical service instructions (I just copied them) and identical layer config, the Flixtrain appears. Therefore, I will probably have to move all the layers over to the new asset and then (fingers crossed) I can finally have the Flixtrain in my timetable.
