    Moin,

wouldn't this be a reatively easy way to add more variety to the German routes we have as of now: A pack of different color schemes for freight engines. Especially the BR185 has a whole lot to choose from:

Liveries, just like locos or routes, can only be added if they are planned for (and licenses are required as well). That being said, I would LOVE to have more variety in liveries.

But in the Railsim forum you can make Repaints, but only for PC...
Is there no chance to bring some of them to Consoles?

Also, the repaints overwrite the original loco, which is not ideal imo...

Agree more livery options should be included wherever they're available. Perhaps even if the operator they're getting the licence from have had transitional or special event versions to save extra licencing. Nice to be able to switch from DB to EWS colours on the GWE Class 66.

Remember that ANY third party mods are not being done in a fashion that the game has been written for, so any assets you wish to edit means overwriting the original asset. When the editor or third party tools are out this will have to be addressed, but until then this "workaround" does allow for non-standard repaints etc but at the expense...

Yes but I meant: why are they allowed to make locomotiv repaints, and I don’t think that they have the licenses

They're doing it as freeware, nobody cares. But if you put a price on it, everyone comes with their hands hold out.

Wouldn't this suggestion help them be seen and hopefully planned for? Other than licensing as well.

Would still be an official part of a payware game...

I thought that too, why aren't companies just happy to get free publicity? But apparently, they don't think that way...

Some of those liveries would not be right for the BR185
The loco only has two pantographs and some these are the muti-voltage version with 4 Pantographs

Every 185 is a multi-system engine, the difference in the number of pantographs is a good point though. We're about to get the 4 panto version in a week though.

I can imagine Licenses are tough. What about the varieties for Railion livery?
