I woukd like to see the signals at the last stop on a route be more realistic in its aspect id the train would continue it's journey as ai. So for example, London Euston to Edinburgh, at Milton Keynes if the train is on time and what not the signal should already be green. That way you have to rely on your route learning for the station just as in real life. Cheers.

The signal should only be red if another train has priority anyway.

At some major stations or junctions the signal won’t be cleared until the “Train Ready To Start” (TRTS) is received in the signalbox from the station staff. This avoids the possibility of the train being delayed and bringing everything to a stand until the driver can be advised and the signal put back to danger. Then usually with a two minute timeout before another route can be set.

I’m sure someone from DTG did post there is a constraint setting up timetables that at the end of the run you will always approach on to a stop signal at the end of the platform even where IRL it would normally be cleared in advance. Milton Keynes on the Down in WCMLS an example of this.
