PS5 Help With Installing My Collection Into Tsw5 On Ps5

I got a PS5 for Christmas and to start with I wasn't able to install PS5 versions of the TSW5 versions of my content but last night I was able to get some of them installed and it's working. There's still a lot of Add Ons not showing as TSW5 versions plus there's still content that I've bought already that says I need to buy it again, which is very frustrating.

The Dovetail Games - How To Download TSW5 & Compatible Content section was very helpful apart from the videos as they're not very clear and rather badly worded with the voice Dovetail chose to use (so ended up giving up with trying to use the videos).

Some of the TSW5 versions confusingly still have TSW4 icons on the console storage just like the actual TSW4 versions, the latter of which won’t work in TSW5. You can either use the ‘manage content’ feature, in which case the TSW5 versions (with 4’s icons) will be towards the bottom. Or, you can delete all your DLCs and download them again from the store, in which case I think you can specify to only get the TSW5 version.

Hopefully goes without saying, but don’t buy anything you own! Was any of this from a disc? Those require DTGs’ help as I recall. In any case, I’d advise a proper ticket with DTGs’ support site - they should be able to help you out.

 

Yes, I'm having the same issue on PS5. None of my purchased add-ons work on TSW5, it looks like you need the TSW5 add-on version of each, but they all show that I need to re-purchase again. And I've never owned a disc version. I had TSW 1, 2 & 3 and now jumped to 5.

And inside each add-on it even says 'You already own another edition' but still wants me to re-purchase for TSW5.

Amazingly enough. few days ago the old LIRR add-on finally showed as free for me on its TSW 5 version but that is it. Everything else shows a cost. Hopefully the devs can get this fixed because I'm stuck with 1 of my add-ons only of my collection unless I go back to TSW3.

 

I just got through going back and searching for DSLs in the store to upgrade them. I think I had a total of about 10 to get. The restore licenses option didn't work, but the searching in the store was more productive. Funny thing is in my Manage Content it's showing some of the add-ons as TSW4 even though I went back and deleted them then searched for them again. This whole thing was quite frustrating and time consuming. And yes, this isn't something we should have to do. I hope DTG can fix this and make this a much easier process.
