Just got the PS5 version of TSW5 and am in the process of bringing over some of my DLC from TSW2. So far, all has been going smoothly, running through the upgrade process, but it has left me in a bit of a pickle. In a few cases, it's been downloading the TSW4 version in the background alongside the TSW5 version, so now I have 2 versions of some DLC, with no clue as to which version is which as they both have the TSW4 icon. I've take a couple of screenshots showing file sizes, so is anyone able to confirm which version I should keep and which is safe to delete, without having to delete/redownload on a trial-and-error basis? Many thanks, - TK
If you don't get a response soon, I would check that those DLCs appear in game, then try deleting the bigger files first, since DTG are trying to slowly optimise the game over time.
According to the DTG video of upgrading your TSW4 files to TSW5, anything not marked TSW5 is supposed to not be compatible with the TSW5 game. So if you have duplicates of any DSLs, delete the ones that don't say TSW5. You may find you have to download them again if they don't show up in the game, which was something I found in the upgrade process I just finished.
All the DLCs do appear, which is a good sign that at least one of them is the correct version. I'll try getting rid of the larger ones first and see what happens. Thank you!
According to the text guides, they are aware that some TSW5 DLC still has the TSW4 icon attached to it (for PS5 at least, not sure about other platforms). Everything shows up in game, so at least 1 of each is the correct one. The fun is trying to decipher which is which.
