What’s the point of posting long essays about Australian routes when DTG have clearly stated there’s no prospect of access or licensing from the operators any time soon.

    Not being funny, just saying.

I want to, also am wanting an Australian route as an Australian, dont care at this point if it is licensed or not would rather have a route with no logos then no route.

Well DTG aren’t likely to do anything without a licence or access to get research material, unfortunately. And I don’t think the editing suite is in anywhere a fit state to allow a third party to create anything Australian. Sadly it seems the biggest source for Oz stuff will continue to be N3V Trainz and residual MSTS/Open Rails.

I don't think dtg are willing to put in the money unless they can do most of Australia in one or two trips, the main 3rd party that i could see doing an aussie route would be Union Workshop with them being the closest being based in china or japan, though they have only done Japanese and Chinese routes, best chance for Australia is going to be a Aussie or kiki 3rd party, but like you said the current public editor is bad (i gave it a go trying to make a route and gave up, still dont know how to make a loco in it, i just can't find any tutorials)
