Right now there have been seven fires in the north of Los Angeles, two of which were successfully handled. The one that burned down Sunset Boulevard and one over in Ventura to the northwest have both been stopped, but the remaining five, firefighters are struggling to contain. Only the Hurst Fire is currently encroaching near to a major rail connection, though I expect the successfully tackled Olivas fire over on a golf course in Ventura probably caused surfliner disruptions.
